Im a huge turn based rpg fan and theres a lack of them on ps4 and this is a gem. The story is eh but the combat and system remind me of ni no kuni and pokemon combine and that is amazing

Digimon has gone back to its rpg roots collecting monsters leveling them up and battling is fun again.

Growing up, Digimon was my go to over pokemon. This game is like reliving my childhood but with the adult themes are we use to in our daily lives. As we grew the Digimon story grew too.

This game plays a lot like the Persona games. If you like those kind of RPGs then this one is for you. The story is short and not as text heavy as Persona but still a great game to own.

Decided to purchase once I saw the price drop. I've put about 2 hours into this game so far. If you're a fan of digimon, then you may be able to enjoy the story based aspect of it. The ability to raise your own digimon and digivolve to multiple forms given a set of conditions to be met is interesting and gives the game a bit of life. The battle mechanics are okay for what I've played so far. Hoping it will pick as I continue to play.

This game is like pokemon stadium meets digimon, meets persona. I highly recommend it.

The game is a bit of repetitive grind. You have to constantly evolve and digivolve your digimon, to make something that won't die during the boss battles(most of which are disproportionately more difficult than the dungeons they occur in). Other issues I had were a underused gimmicks, an inconvient sidequest system, constant player hand holding, and some of the narrative telling elements. All in all, I could only recommend this game to die hard Digimon fans, ones that don't mind a lot of grinding.

While the story is entertaining to old fans, the rpg itself it too basic and easy. The game also is in japanese audio only with english subtitles so that is a let down

Really good Digimon game. It is much better than the last Digimon game that was released. You can catch and raise more Digimon than any other game before.

Digimon is a great jrpg and as a fan of jrpg's I highly enjoyed this game. Having your classic 3 fighter with each having their own positive, negatives, and elemental attacks it becomes your standard jrpg but with Digimon. The story goes as you play either a male or female player who has become stuck in the "digital" world and require help from your Digimon. Afterwards the story folds out and you get different events happening and quests you can take on however only ONE at a time. Taking on multiple quest is not allowed and will suspend whichever you currently have. While it doesn't cancel quests, it does take time having to go back and forth between quests to the main room in order to do each. Fortunately, it is pretty easy and fast to get around and most places have direct connections. This game is also subbed, not dubbed. As someone who orginally saw the aired dubbed, I would of enjoyed if the original cast were here. But it is what it is, and I honestly don't mind it as the sub voice cast is very good. Overall, if you like Digimon or jrpgs in general, I really do highly recommend this game. I enjoyed capturing Digimon in order to grow them and expand thier evolves. On a plus, you're also allowed to de-digivolve them while keeping everything they've learned in order to evolve them in other forms and learn other moves.

this game is amazing and i would highly recommend it to any one who love rpg and digimon. music and once you know how to play it it is quite addictive

Fun battle system and tons of Digimon to create. Evolution system is a little confusing as paths to make great digimon aren't always obvious.

Was always into Digimon as a kid and this game brought all the great memories back. Super fun game, I love everything about it!

I actually got this for my daughter, who has been watching Digimon on Netflix. Surprisingly I'm enjoying it as much as she is.

Great Digimon game that can be played on a big screen and a PS4. A Digimon version of Pokemon with a some changes. Very fun.

I hope this isn't the only digimon game we get there is two more in Japan buy this of we can get more of them

Nice art, pulls from a great source (Digimon) and the mechanics are pretty simple. Pretty easy to get into!

It's allot of fun to play. You can get any character in the show and build them up. The story is amazing

While the West may have been skipped over for much of the last decade with Digimon games, fans can rejoice over Bandai Namco's choice to localize Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, as they will find plenty of reasons to love this game with its nearly 250 different Digimon available.
