Video Camera Battery - questionable battery life

I use the camera to record high school soccer games. Both the battery that came with the camera and this one, look like they have 3 hours of life when fully charged, but I rarely can get through 90 minutes of recording before I need to switch batteries. Glad I have the xtra battery for when we go into overtime!
