I purchased this battery to help power my GoPro 3 Silver while engaged in performance driving and amateur racing events. I think it works well, and adds a couple hours to the battery life of the standard battery. That said, it could use an external charge port that is accessible while mounted on the camera, so that you can recharge it without taking it off.

This battery is great as I will often place the gopro on the wing of the airplane for capturing a flight and it last throughout the whole thing. Easy to charge. I just wish that it worked with the dive housing as well.

Easy to use and a great way to add extra filming time to your GoPro. I would agree it doesn't give you the full 6 hour but still worth the buy. You also have to mount it to the back of the camera which means you will not see what you are recording if you have Hero 4 silver. Not sure if it's really is water proof or not i did not test it.

This is a long lasting battery for the GoPro Hero 3+ or Hero 4. It is way better than what comes with the GoPro. Unfortunately, this does not work with the later models.

I can get roughly 5 hours of recording with this. Great build quality and keeps the camera water resistant if you use the underwater casing. This is a must have accessory.

Great product. Used it on a couple of trips and both times I was able to use it two days with a single charge. Of course no continuous operation but recording and taking photos of different sites. The only down is that the seal is so tight that the sound on the recordings is very muffled.

Seems cheap. Doesn't click in well with my Hero 3+ Black. Doesn't always want to register that it is plugged into the unit. Most definitely does NOT last 6 hours as stated on the packaging. Not a one star because it does give you extra battery time, when it wants to work.

Works great, does make camera little heavier and you can not see the screen on the back but it does make the battery life alot longer

Used this for the tough mudder race and was perfect battery power for camera and great seal as it rained all day and got muddy

In Hawaii I had a gopro hero 2 and on one outing I snorkeled for 4 hours straight at a bay and my battery ran out after 3.5. I outlasted the battery and backpack. So I purchased a 6 hour digipower battery and now get ~8 hours of recording time. Any more and I would become a fish. My next trip to Hawaii I did not have any issues, other than editing the 100's of GB of data.

Piece of garbage. Bought this thinking I'm going to be able to leave it in but not recording when I'm running obstacle course races. Used it once and it only lasted about 1 hour turned on. I have the gopro extended battery which last way longer and isn't as bulky. The other thing I noticed is the camera takes way longer to turn on, you have to hold the power button for almost 5 seconds to get it to turn on. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This battery provides > 6 hours of continuous use. Easy to install.

My Hero 3 works just fine but buying batteries is next to impossible if you want something with any sort of quality. This DigiPower Refuel pack works awesome. I've used it to film Volleyball tournaments, underwater swim stroke evaluations and tossing it around in the pool. Why go buy a new GoPro when you can add this long lasting battery to the back?

Great for extra power, easy to recharge, compact size

Works ok but poorly designed. Used it with my GoPro 3+, and it works but the attachment to the GoPro keeps collapsing inward which makes you think that is broken. Then the unit clicks so tightly against the GoPro that I broke the opening handle just trying to get it open again. So if you need extra power for your old GoPro it will work in a pinch, but it's not a very confidence inspiring design.

This battery is a good supplement to have Now I can record for 4 or more hours with my GoPro without stopping to put in a fresh battery

The power pack is a good value for the price. The only downside is that it is not compatible with a dive housing.

This battery stayed charged with temperatures in the teens and twenties while snowboarding in Vail, CO. This thing is awesome to have as backup to the GoPro battery, which dies quickly in the cold temps. The battery pack straps right on the back of the waterproof case. Pretty cool.

Surely you have ran out of battery charge, if you take a lot of pics or video! Fear Not!! NEVER let that happen to you again. It's well worth it's weight in gold! Just snaps onto the back of the GoPro and STAYS WATER TIGHT! Catch Video All Day Long! Never miss a shot again!

Love this external battery, last much longer then the batteries from my GoPro.
