Great film! One of Clint's Best. 1971. Watched many times.

One of the best Clint Eastwood movies !!!!!! Dirty Harry is always great !!!!!!

Along with westerns of course, the genre Clint has left his biggest mark in has been thrillers, and never more so than in this 1971 masterpiece, which is arguably Clint's most famous role. He plays the title role, a very unorthodox detective who's tracking a killer (Andrew Robinson, suspiciously resembling Charles Manson here). At the same time, Harry has to also deal with the bureaucratic red tape which gives his adversary a little leeway. Some view this film as right wing/fascist propaganda, while others (myself included) viewed it as a unique twist on Clint's Man With No Name with an urban setting. In any case, this is how a thriller is done!

When you have a 7.1 surround sound home theater you would like more programs to distribute in 7.1, but I would be fine if it had 5.1 dts-hd master audio. It didn't have either so the only reason I bought this movie on blu-ray was because I didn't own it on dvd and it is a fantastic movie. It is definately Clint Eastwood's best film. You have to love that magnum of his and the phrase that he is most famous for, "I know what you are thinking...Did he fire 6 shots or 5? Well you gotta ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well do ya...PUNK?" Phenominal movie, phenominal picture, ok sound.

Dirty Harry is easily one of the best action dramas ever made, and it's personally my favorite. Raiders of the Lost Ark would be my second. This is an awesome movie. You'll love it! It's very gripping and Eastwood's best!
