Disgaea is a series I have appreciated from a far for a long time, and I am glad I finally jumped in. It has loads of depth, and it doesn't do the best job explaining all the features, but once you get into it, it is a load of fun. If you care about story in your games, you need to really like Anime, because this is about as anime of a storyline as I have ever played.

First I have to get this off my chest: the voice acting is terrible and the story is silly. Beyond that the gameplay is decent but the game can be so complicated as to be overwhelming. Maybe people who have played past games in the series would be more at home, but as a first time player I had a hard time.

The game is really good. It's even worth buying again for those of us who have the Playstation 4 version because this one comes with all of the DLC not found on the PS4 version. Also, this can be taken where ever you go due to the portable nature of the Switch console.

I'm a huge fan of the Disgaea series and this is my second time playing Disgaea 5. It is a very good game for anybody that is a jrpg tactical fans and a good entry game for anyone that is interested in getting into the Disgaea series.

I've been playing disgaea since it first came out and this one is just as awesome.

Disgaea on the go is one of those things you didn't know you needed in your life until you had it. Same old grind as always, but ON THE GO! Longer story than the previous games as well. Gets more and more polished and entertaining with each new game.

The game mechanics are great. You can take full advantage of them if you have loads of time on your hands, but you can also complete the game fairly easily with a much more laidback approach. The story is ok- definitely not the best in the series. If you are a fan of the series, you should play it, but with modest expectations.

This seems to be a better that average game for the Switch. I like rpg or farming simulation. Zelda was a disappointment because it is to difficult in the beginning. Have not advanced after 15 min. of play, have restarted the game numerous times, so I have given up on that game. Not much out there. Hope this purchase of the Switch console wasn't a mistake for me .

After sinking hours into this game I can say it was well worth the price. I am a fire emblem fan and figured I would give this a shot. It's very light hearted for being about demons, but the gameplay is where the game excels. Be ready to sink 100+ hours into it!

Great game, now complete on the Switch. Runs, looks, performs, and plays great!

I haven’t played games in the Disgaea series before but have really enjoyed this one. Definitely worth the $20 it was on Black Friday!

This game is so jam packed with content. It's my first Disgaea game and I was very overwhelmed at first but the game does a good job of introducing you to the basic concepts. There is so much to do and 100s of hours of content. Definitely a great game.

Recently bought a switch and was glad to pick this up for a first game!

Been awhile since I've played a solid RPG. Bravely Default was the last solid one. But this harkened back and adds to the final fantasy tactics gameplay. Highly recommended if you know you're getting into turn based gameplay and cheesy storyline.

The disgaea series is one of the best turn based strategy series out there. This is a fantastic game to play on the go with your Nintendo Switch. This is a must buy. It has all the DLC included. You will spend hours playing this fantastic game.

We picked this up as a Christmas gift because we heard other good reviews, will follow up after Christmas and some playing time

Disgaea 5 has a great story with good characters. The characters you can unlock in this version of the game are pretty handy in battle as well. I really like the music in the game as well. This is a must play for RPG fans.

I completely forgot why I never beat Disgaea 1 -- and that's all the grinding in it and so many hours to put in. I bought this after completing Mario + Rabbids (fantastic game) and wanted to continue scratching the tactical itch. Unfortunately, after playing for several hours I realized that this was not going to do that for me. If you loved the original Disgaeas, this is for you. if not, I'd stay away.

If you love anime and Strategy RPGs like Final Fantasy tactics then this game in for you. The story is what should be expected from a JRPG but the depth in the combat system is where its at. Over 100 hours of game play.
