This game is pretty awesome so far. Wish there were more kinds of weapons.

I got this because it was dirt cheap on sale at Best Buy and i always wanted to try it. Seems good so far but no where near the quality of some newer FPS. For the money, the "bang for the buck" entertainment value get's a 5 out of 5. Now if it where $50-$60 bucks, it would tank, but for $7.99 to $19.99, its great fun and a good edition to your collection.

I would go on a rant but this is a wonderful game, a hidden gem. Wonderful story, graphics, sound, and of course gameplay. The game is set in the city of Dunwall a once bustling coastal hub crippled by the "Rat" Plague and crime and corruption. Through the in-game speech and various books you find you begin to develop a deep immersion to Dunwall and the people within. While Dishonored is not an open world it certainly plays like one as you go from mission to mission - the options each mission presents you are incredible. The gameplay is very well refined and much fun and the storyline is great. The graphics could use a little polish here and there but the city is still completely alive and feels very real. The sound is top-notch as is most of the voice acting. There is an option to replay each mission individually. The game is very dynamic so the ending will be greatly affected by your ingame actions. All in all a high-quality game, well worth the money. I reccomend you set aside a weekend and play to your hearts content, you certainly will want to!

So i will admit, right off the bat i didn't get this game. You get a blade and a gun and you can hide and be stealthy. Then you get magic powers like possession and the ability to travel to roof tops or across the street in a matter of seconds. But still i was confused; i would say at least until the third level i was playing with a weird look on my face. Then it hit me and i knew what to do. The game is so good, you just have to know what tools to use at the right time. I feel like i understand what they were going for when they made the game. So let me get back to basics. the weapons and magic are so fun to use. Different paths you can take are well thought out. Ok, yea, you might have five different paths to enter one building and it's not going to change the world, but you have that choice. You can kill or not kill; you can rack up a gnarly body count or play the whole game with no kills. That's awesome because everyone is out to get you. Did i mention the sleep darts? And that you can pick up bodies and hide them so that your mission isn't compromised? But i do feel like they should take more time to show you how to use your powers. You can do so much in this game and there are so many things to discover that help your game play. There are many paths to take: walk through the front door, or possess a rat and come in through a vent, or crawl trough the sewers, or be a fish. Thats why i feel the tutorials could be longer, because you can unlock all kinds of potential. Bottom line, i'm on my third play through, one with no kills, and i love it.

This was a really quick game to beat. In my eyes it could be longer by adding a couple more missions. I wish there was more freedom to roam around like in Skyrim and Assassins Creed. I did enjoy the weapons, abiilities, and the powers. It is fun sneaking behind someone and choking them or going on top of a building and shooting a guard with a sleep dart. Overall it was a good game.

For this low price, no one should miss this game. The story is well written. Try not to rush thru the game. Play it slow and enjoy every detail. The NPCs have different dialogs depending on your actions in the game. It's fun to listening in on the guards' conversations. Lots of documents laying around for you to better understand the world. Every level is thoughtfully designed so the player can approach it in different ways. The last level is completely different (even though it's the same map) depending on how you play thru the game. Tons of gadget and magic for you to use. Because of it, you can approach the same situation in many many ways. The learning curve is a bit tough if you're new to the genre. Save often so you won't have to replay a whole section again just because a guard found you before you fade away into the shadow. A great stealth RPG game from Bethesda.

My biggest point to make is that if you are the type of player who doesn't know how to explore and needs objective markers to tell you where to go, you won't find much entertainment in this game. There are so many other areas to explore, people to meet, side missions, and countless ways to get to your main target that are missed by so many people who are used to the call of duty "go to this objective now" style of play. I'd say the feel of the game is very similar to Bioshock, but with stealth components and much less linear. You choose how you want to play, with regards to being a killing machine, or not being seen and not killing anyone. Plus, there are variations to future missions and multiple endings depending how you play. Great game!

Dishonored is a game where different outcomes occur based on how many people you kill. Kill everything in your sight and you get the evil ending, do the stealthy approach and only choke out your enemies you get the good ending. Missions are varied and challenging, Rambo or Sam Fisher mode, and make you want to get to the next mission. The story is interesting and drives you to play the game. My only problem is that there's no way to compare yourself to your friends or even a coop campaign seperate from the main story.

Play through the game as silently as possible without being seen once or as loudly as you please. Supernatural abilities create a fun and unique playstyle element.

I am a big fan of skyrim and bethesda for that matter, and this game doesn't disappoint! I loved using my stealth abilities in skyrim and this game takes stealth to a whole new level. I really like the art style although the graphics could be a little more crisp on the xbox. Can't wait to play more. Some people say this game is somewhat short but I see myself playing through it over and over again. It's worth the $ in my opinion.

I really hate playing games that involve any types of magic, but got this based on a friend's review of it. It was worth it. This game is great because it is different than most games like shooters and offers a new experience. The game is very fun to play and I would play it again. The magic actually made it more fun.

If Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid were to have have children this would be it. Fantastic game. Challenging and intriguing many different ways to handle each level. Enjoyed it very much.
