Did not like the movie. The ending was over the top. Actors did a great job in their roles but not a favorite movie of mine or my husbands.

Movie contained a lot of violence and people died you didn't expect to. Was also gory at times.

Quentin Tarentino movies are so overrated. I mean why would anyone consider him so great.

Yeah another destroyed movie sent by best buy... and i know they sent this damaged because it was sent in a box that was in perfect condition and the other movies inside were fine... do not sell your damaged product!

This movie sucked. Unnecessary violence. Worse than the typical Tarantino movie.

I purchased the DVD because it was on sale and I wanted a digital copy of the movie thru Apple ITunes. Opened the DVD and the Digital Apple iTunes was expired. Nothing on the exterior of the box indicated a expiration date.

If you love numerous people being unrealistically shot to death, this movie is for you. This is one movie I would like my money back.

watched this after some friends recommendation. Not my kind of movie. Very slow paced a lot of the time

The story line is not believable and in most parts just idiotic.

Goofy, violent, but tons of fun, Django Unchained has a bit of everything for everyone. Showcasing some of the best performances from Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Leonardo DiCaprio, Django Unchained also is one of the few films that takes a dark period in America's history and doesn't pull back the punches when it comes to highlighting the more brutal and ugly aspects of the time.. Ultimately, the movie is an over-exaggerated, fantastical portrait of America, which makes it as enjoyable as it is. Granted, a scene here or there may feel a bit disjointed and out of place, and there are a few awkward musical cues. But beyond that, it has everything it needs to please an audience. I was working at a movie theater when this came out, and I was amazed that EVERYONE on staff loved this movie. Not liked. LOVED! It's not for the faint of heart, as the action scenes are gleefully bloody, but if you're in the mood for a well-written, well-acted, well-shot, and overall exhilarating revenge fantasy and you've got three hours to spare, BUY THIS MOVIE! Being a Tarantino film, the extras are sure to be satisfying.

This was a very well put together movie by a man that I consider to be somewhat of a genius movie maker. I am a black man who went to view this movie in all honesty with very low expectations and was blown away. Though there was obsessive use of the "N" word which I myself despise I was extremely surprised that this was the biggest gripe that many people could come up with in their quest for reasons to not like this movie especially when everyone knew that it was a movie about slavery. The acting was way above par and I will buy it and watch it over again. Zhango in my humble opinion is a "SMASH"!

I haven't watched it yet because it's so long, but it's only $5 and Best Buy's always giving out minimum $5 emailed rewards, so why not? A friend of mine always references this, and someday when I have 3 hours to kill, I'll find out what he's been talking about!

Out of all the exclusive releases that different stores had, feature wise, Best Buy's exclusive release of "Django Unchained" had the best extra features (from the exclusive disc in the Blu-ray/DVD combo). Only thing I didn't like was that steelboarder thing around the packaging... That wasn't good looking at all. I was thinking about getting the Target Exclusive since it was a Steelbook, but the exclusive disc was a comic con panel, I could just watch that same panel on YouTube, so the only reason why I would have purchased this set was so I could get it on steelbook (I did like the cover more then the photoshop poster they used for the regular DVD & Blu-Ray release of the film.) Wal-Mart had an exclusive disc that was apparently talking about the spaghetti western genre, but it only talked about this film, which is still awesome, but I would of enjoyed that disc more if it was about that whole genre, including this film. Overall, out of all the releases for this film, the Best Buy Exclusive Blu-ray/DVD combo had the best features, and in my opinion was the best set to get for this film (with getting pass the steelboarder packaging).

As an avid fan of Quentin Tarantino, there's a level of quality that I expect from each film that he makes. I expect to connect with his characters, but not necessarily like any of them. I expect to see a film that satisfies the film geek in me. More than anything, I expect to see a film that entertains throughout the prerequisite bloated running time. "Django Unchained" is nearly three hours long. But it never feels that long, it entertains and surprises every step along the way. When I first checked my watch, we were already two hours into the film. All of Tarantino's films are usually about this long. Tarantino has been having fun with fictionalizing historical periods lately. This started with 2009's "Inglorious", which was easily one of the best films of that year. My eighty-something year old grandmother, who lived through the time that the film depicted - World War II - said that if events actually happened as they did in that film, that we would be living in a better world today. I think that's a pretty high compliment, especially since my grandmother is not Tarantino's target audience. He was able to design a great story - not an idealistic view of that time period, but still a pretty fascinating one.

Django Unchained (the 'D' is silent), is a fun action film. THe film is a bit slowly paced, yet made sure to ensure that the film was still engaging and kept the action moving. I felt it was a bit long winded (2 hours 45 minutes) for my taste, and I felt it could have been sped up a bit without losing anything. The overall plot is simple, Django get's separated from his wife, and this is the story of him trying to rescue her (that's all I can say without ruining anything). While the film focuses heavily on the main characters, Tarentino does a fantastic job of making the story interesting by using secondary characters to his advantage. This adds a lot to the film and makes the film come to life. The movie though isn't as violence focused as some others by him such as Kill Bill (don't worry, there is still plenty of violence), but really takes advantage of humor to make this a bit more light hearted at times. It's important to remember though that this is a fictional movie. There are historical inaccuracies, etc. and this is fine as long as you can look past that. Parents, this is not for kids. There is a little nudity, some innuendos, lots of violence, blood, and gore, use of the "N" word, concepts such as slavery, alcohol consumption etc. For this reason I'd peg it at 15-18 years old. This obviously will vary depending on the family. Overall, the audio itself is not the best I've heard with it's DTS HD-MA 5.1 soundtrack. The film's vocals are slightly low on the volume end. The dynamics aren't there and it's a bit of a flat soundtrack. The highs and lows don't occur often. It does have a few dynamic peaks, the surrounds are used pretty well to create a nice, encompassing environment. The video was good, a bit cold considering the desert and warm environments the characters were in. The blood and shadows were detailed and the shadows had a fantastic detail level with the grime and textures. The film is a bit soft, not as sharp as I would have liked at times but still well detailed. I believe this is an artistic choice, but one that bothered me at times. Overall I'd recommend it, but it was a bit longer than I would have liked. The characters were well developed and had some good humor at times. If you have the time, go for it, but if you can't stand a long and often violent movie, I would recommend passing on this.

I enjoyed this movie, it was like a 1960's low budget western with a descent plot

Tarantino movies are the best. Had to add Django to the collection.
