If you are a classic doctor who fan then this one is for you! Even if you aren't much of a fan of the Sixth Doctor, this one is worth a lock. Patrick Troughton is in his best Second Doctor mode. As I always say, one Doctor is good, but multiple Doctors are always more fun! I had looked for this one on DVD for a long time. I was pleased to find it for a reasonable price.

While Colin Baker does tend to rank low on most people's favorite Doctor lists, much of that was just in what he was made to wear and the stories he was given. Vengeance on Varos was one of the better ones, and well worth seeing.

While he had a short tenure at the Tardis controls, Colin Baker excels here in this story. Loaded with comedy, menace, better than average effects and lots and lots of Cybermen, this is an episode that is not to be missed. This is the one of their more frightening appearances before they started stomping around and shouting "Delete".

love all the Dr Who shows, but not as big a fan of the very early ones as the later ones. Hate the Daleks and Cybermen, but what can I say....they are "bad guys"

Many disparage Colin Baker's tenur as a low point for Doctor Who, but he did have several good moments. This serial is one of them.

Doctor Who is my favorite TV show. Mind you these dvd's are a bit pricey but well worth it.

It is widely accepted that Colin Baker (the sixth doctor) was the worst of all the doctors. If you can accept his portrayal, this is one of his better adventures and is well remembered for the villains that he faces in this episode. If you can get this for a reasonable price (found it in a clearance bin at Best Buy) - it is worth a look.

If fans never warmed to Colin Baker's interpretation of the Doctor, blame the scriptwriters who decided on the direction of the character and the costumer who designed that mess of a coat. Actors read and wear what they are given. That said, this particular story is on par for its time.

I liked the dvd docter who: vengeance on varos[special edition].

This episode is also on The Doctors Revisited collection but I wanted it as a standalone DVD

If you like Dr Who then you definitely need to go out and get this.
