Epic Twist to The Post-Apocolyptic/Supernatural movies and television series that we have been flooded with, I'm a huge fan of most movies and series with a twist on the myth/lore/supernatural recordings of history or imaginative developments there-of. I'm a huge fan of the series Lucifer for its originality and character portrayal, Dominion does the same and paints celestial beings/Arch-Angels and a post apocalyptic world in a whole new color... no third rate low budget cinematography and what's last of civilization roaming wastelands anymore. It's inventive, it's different and I'm a huge fan! If you like shows like Shannara, Lucifer, Supernatural, TeenWolf (the MTV series), Grimm, Vampire Diaries, Penny Dreadful, Wynonna Earp, Van Healing (the SyFy Series), Midnight,Texas, Game of Thones and other series and movies of that type with a link to historical myth/lore and the supernatural... I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with this series, I know I couldn't stop watching and bought season two on Amazon right after I finished binge watching Dominion Season 1 I was hooked and Dominion Season 2 wasn't out on Blu-Ray yet so I purchased the digital copy immediately after finishing Season 1, It's an amazing series I hope to see more like it. Buy Season 1 now and introduce yourself to a whole new world... I know I did.. I grabbed my copy passing the display in Best Buy not knowing a thing, never saw previews or heard of Dominion, I just caught the powerful depiction of the ArchAngel Gabriel (I'm assuming) in ancient roman style battle armor with wings spread across the cover of the disc, and his blade drawn on a downed human who in return has dual pistols drawn on The Archangel- that powerful/gripping imagery (shoutout to artist of the artwork on the Blu-ray Disc packaging cover... it grabbed my attention and I was sold no second thoughts and I wasn't even looking for movies) I flipped it over read the quick blurb about the show saw it was produced by Universal and a SyFy channel series and I was sold... Highly recommended!! (If you couldn't tell how thoroughly I enjoyed Season 1 when I immediately purchased the digital copy of Dominion Season 2 because I couldn't wait for it to come to Blu-Ray... definitely worth the purchase! And watching blu-ray on my PS4 Pro hooked up to my LG 4K UHD SmartTV and matching LG DD 7.1 digital HD surround sound with wireless Bluetooth subwoofer (all picked up at Best Buy and they beat the competitors pricing on everything by a mile!) Grab or order Dominion from Best Buy today and get hooked just like me!

When God withdraws leaving his angels behind, Gabriel leads the lesser angels in a war against humanity believing that God simply found humans unredeemable. Becoming fallen angels (demons are never mentioned), the lesser angels don't have bodies and take over humans to act physically. It's never said if they're trapped in the bodies they inhabit, but it seems so. Michael takes the human's side which eventually leads to a draw in the war. Humanity hole up in cities like Vega (formerly Vegas). Religion focuses on a human savior known as the chosen one and it is believed that Michael saved a baby that would one day save them from the vindictive angels. The series follows the people of Vega arranged by numbers from ones scraping by, to soldiers and upper classes that basically become nobles. Michael plays a major part as well and the war looks to renew as other upper angels begin to choose sides with the ability to look human when they want to as well.

Great series. Hard to find at the competition. BB had it and at the best price

Although the archangels may have originally been directed with the mission of protecting the human race, in this particular series it is destinctively difficult to recognise which side of the line is good or bad. The main motivation behind the individual circles of influence in this futuristic view of a post armagedon is total domination of the survivors of the human race. None of the archangel factions' hands are completely free of human or angelic blood. I would be surprised to see if and when the "chosen one" decides what he will do next after leaving Michael the archangel in favour of Gabriel the archangel. This angelic form of different shades of grey leaves the viewer confused and distracted from knowing what is positive, non-positive, good and evil.

I loved legion so to find out this show picks up the story later on is .great. Would like to see this series go for awhile to see if the story takes on a more biblical tone or stays neutral.

The Syfy channel had a hit on their hands, until they cancelled the show after 2 seasons. The Lucifer story line would have been amazing! I was so looking forward to that.

You will either like or hate this series, glad I caught a few episodes on TV before making the purchase. Would recommend the same.

It does a wonderful job in exploring what happens years after things go down in the world after the film. The enemies are scary-good and the main characters are interesting. The adventure is just as fun.

First season is a slow build on the mythology of the series, but essential to learning the characters.

This show ran for only two seasons and will be missed. Continued of sorts from the movie Legion with Angels on Earth at war. Wonder what would have happened next?

I think Dominion tries too hard to appeal to a wider audience and loses the direction of its story line. It May be worth your time and effort to review a few episodes on one of the pay per view programs out there before you commit to a purchase here.
