PS2 turn based JRPG that is a must own game on 3DS.

This remake of the PS2 game is wonderful. The addition of seeing the enemies on-screen and removing the random encounters is a great upgrade. There is no 3D option, but this doesn't affect the gameplay in any way.

This game brings back the memory I played this game first in PS2. They improve the graphics of this game. Gameplay is still the same I would say this is one of the best JRPG I played in my lifetime.

This game brings back all the nostalgia of the PS2 game. I'm not very far into it but I'm looking forward to seeing the new features. This is a wonderful game for anyone who enjoys the Dragon Quest series.

It's one of the most beloved entries in the Dragon Quest series which you can now take on te go. Great music, great character design and so much to see. Be prepared to sink countless hours into this one.

An absolute classic and a game thay changed my life back when it released on ps2. The 3ds version is obviously scaled down and a lot has been cut. However much of what made this game so brilliant remains.

Dragon Quest has been overlooked for years in the US and this is a great place to start if you want a meaty, fun adventure - you don't need to have played any other to get into this great series.

Amazing game. If you are into RPGs you have to pick this up. The only thing I did not like is how they changed the all the menus to be bland clear text boxes. Besides that, an A+ portable RPG.

This is a fairly simplistic RPG but it's charming and fun the whole way through. Its PS2 version is widely regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time and the 3DS version is no different!

One of the best traditional RPGs on the PS2 is given a second life on Nintendo's portable system with very few comprises. Charming and fun, an easy recommendation.

The Dragon Quest series is so under-appreciated in the U.S. It's got great characters and story. If you like jrpg games at all, you'll want to pick up this solid remake of a PS2 game.

Dragon Quest VIII was already great on the PS2, and it's even better on the go. If you're into Final Fantasy, Pokemon or other classic RPG franchises then you'll enjoy this game.

It is the same great game from PS2 that you remember but on the go! It has a few new features and playable characters as well making it a very enjoyable experience

Absolutely fantastic game. Upgrades make it much more user friendly to play than VII. Even if you're not into the nostalgia, this is a very good RPG. VERY VERY much recommended.

Dragon Quest VIII is by far the longest handheld game I've ever played. Clocking in at over 70 hours to complete, you definitely get your money's worth with this epic adventure.

Happy to finally be able to play a game that was previously PlayStation-exclusive (not-counting the buggy iPad port). My only disappointment is that the graphics seem a bit rough compared to the other recent Dragon Quest port for the 3DS (DQ7). Nevertheless, the voice-acting adds much to the experience and I look forward to playing more of it soon.

I was extremely excited to see this announced as the original version was one of my favorite PS2 games. This is a great port with some additional content and features.

Solid remake of the game and in a portable form. Runs better than the original. If you've never played a Dragon Quest game, this is (thus far) the best entry point.

I didn't know what to think about a remake of a home console game on the 3ds. But wow they did a wonderful job! If you like RPG or Dragon Quest this is a must buy!
