Definitely was not expecting for this game to become one of my favorite games of all time. I bought it because I had heard good things about it when it came out waaay back when. That it was a sleeper hit basically. Boy were they right. This game feels like a video game, but in the best way possible. Lot of replayability and it's a blast! You can switch between different classes, and even hybrid classes. You also have a companion that follows you everywhere and helps you out. You can recruit two more "pawns" but those are intechangeable - don't get attached. You'll need to get new ones as you level up. There are a lot of weapons and the world was fun to explore

Dragon's Dogma is Capcom's attempt at an open world, Skyrim style RPG by way of Monster Hunter influenced combat. DD is far less "open" than Skyrim, but combat is much more involved. It is also fairly inscrutable so don't be afraid to look up a guide online, as it does not do you the favor of explaining most of its systems. Fun game if you are willing to put in the work.

Game is pretty good. It's a bit of a dated game so some of the gameplay mechanics are annoying. It's a game that can be improved in many aspects. If you like arpgs and are ok with dealing with tedious mechanics, if you can get pass that, it's a good game!

I have purchased this game three times now and can happily say that the Switch is a wonderful platform to play it on. I was shocked by how quick the loading times were and how well the controls worked out (there is a learning curve like most games however.) Thus far, my time spent playing has all been in handheld mode, and I haven’t had any issues regarding the games’ performance as of writing this review. Such an amazing experience to be able to take with you on the go. Also wonderful that the pawn system is not hindered by not having purchased Nintendo’s online services.

First copy defective. But Best Buy replaced without so much as a blink. Second copy works just fine. Game is really fun. I very much like it’s art style. I worry when games go half price, but this is worth its $. You will get drawn in from its first cut scene on.

Dragon's Dogma when it was first released didn't receive the best of reviews. However as years have passed, the game is starting to get more appreciation. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is the "complete" edition of the RPG released back on the PS3 and XBOX 360 from Capcom. The game plays surprisingly well on the Switch hardware (particularly in handheld mode.) If you're looking for a excellent third person action RPG to play, definitely check out this Capcom title.

No one told me that this game is not fun for the first 5-6 hours. I was about ready to return it but it really opens up once you pass a certain point: in terms of classes, abilities, everything becomes much more open. 4 stars for the wasted first hours.

I previously heard this game was good but did not know what to expect. The character creation process is pretty in-depth. When I first started the game I wasn’t that impressed but as I continued to play I started to get quite into it. I’m hours into it and enjoying it quite a bit. It plays great in handheld mode. It’s basically the only way I play the game. If you are looking for a sprawling action rpg where you can change your vocation and skills then check this out. And for only $30 this game is a great bargain. I would definitely recommend.

It's a Japanese developer's attempt at a Western RPG they managed to be better in every aspect. Its amazing game who's initial launch was overshadowed by Skyrim. I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan, and I have no doubts this beats everything that series has done. Combat is fantastic. Your choices in character growth matter and actually affect how you'll play. Each playthrough can feel Worlds different from this. There's a reason I've bought this game on 4 of its 6 platforms now. Best part, once you beat it, you're just getting started and basically get another game worth of endgame content without buying more or subscribing to a service. This is a must buy.

Pretty good game, but too much to explore. Seems as though you can go thru woods, caves, climb rocks, and go many different ways. Have not figured out if there is a "proper" way to transverse the terrain.

Gamers who doubt the capabilities of Nintendo's console should try this game for reference. The Switch version of Dragon's Dogma plays and looks identical to the PS3 version, with only minor graphical pop-up seen in enemies materializing too quickly on the map reminding you that you're playing this excellent action RPG on a handheld!! The game itself is criminally underrated, and the Switch port gives players unfamiliar with the world of Gransys a chance to explore a consistently challenging world that takes multiple replays to fully exhaust. And to get murdered multiple times on Bitterblack Isle.

Where was I in 2012 when this game originally came out? I finally dove in with this recently released Nintendo Switch version after years of hearing that it was a great game. Turns out everyone was right! Action RPG with different classes that you can switch between, large open areas to explore, deep combat, and customizable AI-controlled party members that you can share and download over the internet, all in a beautiful fantasy setting. Check it out!

This is an excellent, albeit a bit old game. If you've never played it and you think it looks interesting, you owe it to yourself to pick it up.

Dragons Dogma was a sleeper hit on the PS3 and 360. Its a high fantasy adventure game that has some great action gameplay and combat. Lots to explore in the kingdom you find yourself in as your work towards the showdown with a dragon and more. Now you can take this epic game on the go. Its a single player game so you can enjoy it on your own time.

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen is easily one of the game I have had the most fun playing on my Switch. The combat is fun, with some situations requiring a little more strategy than others. The game isn't very transparent when it comes to how difficult an area will be when you first enter it, other than being trounced by the local enemies right away if you are under-leveled, but it is easy enough to get yourself up to where you need to be. Overall, 4 out of 5 from me. There's is a lot of fun to be had here, but also some tedium.
