I bought this so I could share my iPod with my son on the airplane. It worked great!

This works great for travel if two people want to watch the same iPad.

Great way to split one signal output to two audio devices, be it two headphones for you and a friend while travelling, or two different sound systems at home (yes some people are that extravagant). People should know two more things about these adapters in general: First, when splitting a single audio signal into two, the strength of that audio signal is diminished. You may have to turn up the volume on both audio devices to get a louder signal. Second, the device works in reverse - plug in two audio sources into this adapter, and they can both feed into one audio device. A very versatile and handy adapter for people who may not necessarily have an expensive multiple input/output receiver for their home theater.

I needed to split a single plug, and this was exactly what I needed. I did notice a slight reduction in the overall sound. This cable is plugged into a laptop, which is wired to both wireless speakers for outdoor use and an indoor stereo tuner for indoor use. The laptop, however, only had one audio out plug, so we had to split it. However, the reduction in sound is not enough to say this product is a bad product. Anytime you add cables or splitters, you can expect that slight reduction. It just is what it is ... but it would be nice if they made cables that just plain didn't do that. :-)

I bought this splitter to hook up one iPod to play through four speakers on my motorcycle. I thought that by having four speakers run off one iPod with to auxilary cords would cause the speakers to play quieter and not at full potential but I was wrong. The splitter worked flawlessly. Really couldn't have found anything better suited for a better price. Only paid $5 with tax. Works well with to headphones going to one iPod as well. Both people can enjoy a movie and be happy. Definitely recommend

I bought this headphone jack splitter so that I could connect the audio output from my wireless Internet alarm clock to two different sets of amplified speakers, creating a quasi-surround-sound experience. What can I say besides the fact that it functions as it should? It connected solidly to the jack in my alarm clock and to the two 3.5mm audio cables running to the two speakers. The price was reasonable, so I am totally satisfied with this product.

I have an rca output I wanted to connect to speakers that have their own built in amp (computer speakers) I had a rca to male end, and wanted a connection to another female end to connect the speakers. This splitter worked well, in that I connected my rca input to 1 side, and my 'computer' external speakes to the other. The male end is not used. So, the unit became 2 female ends that I wanted. Jerry rigged.
