I was lucky I had one that worked. We really wanted the cleaner to pickup dog hair on hardwood floors and it captures more hair in the bristles than in the cup.

NOPE! Best Buy customers should be extremely careful about assuming that they're acting in the customer's best interest with those offers. They're not. Now I'm out $50 - threw away all packaging before trying to use for the first time. Buyer beware.

Posted .Hello, this is Kelly with Dyson. I can confirm that the articulating hard floor tool typically is not intended for use with the Dyson cord-free vacuums. It's a tool for our upright and canister models, and that is listed under the specifications on the Best Buy website. You CAN use this tool on V7 and newer cord-free machines with the use of an adaptor, that is available by visiting our website, www.dyson.com.

It has been helpful until I got used to the great Dyson! Bit pricey for what it is. Get to know your Dyson first before ordering this.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The articulating hard floor tool is not intended for use on our cord-free machines. It's designed to fit standard on our upright and canister machines. If you do use it on a cord-free machine, then yes, you would need to use an adaptor.

Dust and hair clog easy and cumbersome to unclog. We only use the regular V6 head that works great and does not clog. Tool not needed!

However, I find the hose attachment awkward to use in itself. Unless you use the hose attachment a lot, this probably is not worth the investment.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I can confirm that the articulating hard floor tool was not designed to attach to the V11 Animal cord-free. This tool will generally fit all upright and canister models. Your cord-free machine will only allow non-motorized tools to fit that have the red attachment latch. Anything with the older gray latch would not attach or work properly without the use of an adaptor. When I received it in I realized it didn't fit. Waste of time. Could work for someone else, just not a universal attachment.

The product works great, but it’s a little awkward to use. It would be so much better if it had an extension to use with the hose. Wouldn’t recommend because of this!
