This vacuum is our second Dyson and I love how versitile the machine is and how great the suction and filter system is. All the features from changing the attachments to cleaning the filters is easy and understandable. I love Dyson Vacuums.

The only reason I didn't purchase a Dyson was the price which for me was a lot of money. It is an excellent product; lightweight, very easy to operate and I love not having to replace vacuum bags. Definitely worth the cost of the product. Wish I had purchased it sooner.

I'm obsessed with my dyson! So easy to clean and it picks up everything. I've even started doing my baseboards once a week because this machine makes it so easy

This vacuum is perfect for regular house vacuuming. Easy to empty, easy to maneuver and light weight. Even my kids like using it.

I have been looking at the Dyson vacuums and appreciate the ads stating all the logical reasons for developing the product. I am pleased that the product lives up to the ads. It is easy to change the attachments for whatever I need and it follows me around the house easily. The canister holds more than I was expecting from all the notices about changing it often. The number one feature I was looking for was good suction and I was not disappointed.

We replaced our Dyson Animal and wanted a canister vac. Our first floor is all hardwood thru-out. Does a great job on the floors. Very easy to do stairs. With the canister on the floor at the bottom I can reach up to the last 2 stairs. Much easier to use than an upright for stairs. Does a great job on scatter rugs we have. Compared a lot of other vacs and the other Dyson canisters and this was the best bang for the buck.

Having always been an Electrolux fan, I'm pleasantly satisfied with my new Dyson. It's easy to use and to store. I'm not crazy about having to clean out the tank, having been a "bag user", but it's a small price to pay for the convenience of use. Our carpets have never been cleaned as well.

I purchased this vacuum because of the great clearance price. It's true - this machine really has great suction power. I have small dogs, and it does a fantastic job of picking up the loose fur and dirt. Yes, from time-to-time, you have to pull out the hair that wraps around the rotating brush. I've had to do that with every vacuum I've ever owned. I was surprised and disappointed that the wand is entirely made of plastic. I expected metal/aluminum like others. In fact everything about this machine is plastic. This worries me that it won't last. The on/off switch is on the body, which is a bit inconvenient. Most others are on the wand. The power cord is shorter than others too. Another three feet would be nice. Nevertheless, it really does the job and I'm happy. Let's see how long it lasts.

Very powerful vacuum and worth the money spent. Need to see if long term use will loose suction power or not. So far so good.

All high quality vacuum cleaners are expensive these days, regardless of the brand. I'd say this one's price is par for the course. A good vacuum is going to cost you. This is my second Dyson and I love it even more than my first, which was a different model that is no longer available. I gave it to my Mom recently and bought myself this model. I see the improvements that have been made. My top 2 are 1) the head is smaller and therefore fits under and around things more easily and 2) the attachments for this one are placed in a more convenient location. The cord is plenty long enough. I honestly have no complaints about this vacuum. Love not having to buy bags and filters.

This vacuum is good for floors and area rugs, and you can use it on wall to wall carpet as well, though I would not want to use it if I had mostly carpeting. The suction is good (and it will not work well on small throw rugs due to the strength of it). I like not having to worry about bags (cost, finding them). If you empty it, put it deep within a bag so that the dust does not get around.

I think the vacuum cleaner works great and I like its mobility and ease of use. It has a lot more suction than my previous larger vacuum cleaner.

My husband is enjoying the vacuum so much that I have not gotten to use it much. It is powerful and easy to handle. Love the retracting cord. Pricey but seems to be worth the high cost.

I bought this vacuum because I was moving from a house with all wood floors to a house with quite a bit of carpet. Additionally, I have multiple pets, so lots of hair around. At first I was skeptical of the canister vacuum rather than an upright, but I can say now that I actually prefer the canister. The attachments make it easy to get under furniture, high up, and even works well on the actual furniture. The canister is a bit heavy, but far from too cumbersome to carry throughout the house. It is also very easy to empty (although it tends to fill up a bit quickly). I would highly recommend.

Giving this a 5 because it does exactly what it says to do. If you are contemplating the newer purple v this one- they are the same! They may have different accessories but you can buy those separately. Just one is newer and more expensive. I did my research for weeks. It doesn't lose suction and eliminates dander and gets rid of pet hair.

Excellent vacuum! It's a smart buy. Especially, if you're tired of vacuums breaking down and leaving dirt. Word of advice for the first time you use any dyson vacuum..you may not want anyone else around because its unbelievable how much other vacuums leave behind.

Does what it is supposed to. Easy to use and store. Not as noisy as other vacuums. Good product.

This is the best vacuum I've had. The set-up was easy and so is clean up. I love how light-weight the handle is; I could vacuum the whole house and feel no arm fatigue. The one negative so far is backing up; I have to pick up the main unit and turn it around. However, it's not too heavy and vacuuming the stairs is simple. By the way, I was impressed with the low noise relative to most heavy suction vacuums.

I love how this reaches under furniture - I can actually vacuum under my bedroom furniture. This makes stairs exceptionally easy. We've always had upright vacuums in the past. So far, so good, A 5 year warranty definitely helped with the purchase decision.

We had an old vacuum that finally gave out, and after buying another "name brand" one which didn't work so well, we decided to spend the money for the Dyson. Our floors had been vacuumed three times before we bought the Dyson and we used it right away. It picked up all the dirt that was left behind and really does its job well! Overall very happy with this product!!
