Boy was it. It monitors the air in my room. I can quickly see the air quality is good. The temperature and humidity are tracked so you have all this information and can feel safe. The air filter says it’s replaced like once every 6-12 months depending on use. I have mine on auto and it moves the air around as needed. I did set it up to work with my smart home but, auto is good for me. Any concerns about your living space, this is a great way to see if the air is good where you are. I’d buy another if I see it on sale again.

Too Pricey for What You Get

This is not as much a reflection on the product as it is on Dyson's pricing. The simple fact is that they're trying to be the Apple of cleaning appliances, but their products are not giving you value for the money. This device is huge, it made of plastic, and given the fact that it's far costlier than an air conditioner, it should do more than an air conditioner could do, but it doesn't even come close. Now, I don't like air conditioners. I prefer fans. This is fan of sorts, and it has an air filter/purifier to boot, but it's not cool enough, and the filter has to be replaced every year. So, where's the value? Design is not value, as important as it is. And, this product is supposed to contain "air magnification" technology. However, air magnification doesn't exist. It's a scientific impossibility.

This is Dan with Dyson. Sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the price point on the Pure Cool Link. A substantial amount of development is put into the technology featured on this machine which naturally leads to a higher pric than other standard fans and purifiers.
This new product is a purifier first and foremost with the added benefit of Air Multiplier™ technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. This eliminates the air buffeting that is caused by standard blade fans. As an additional bonus, this machine also features Link capability. This allows you to monitor air quality in your home and control the fan remotely with an iPhone or Android phone.
The Pure Cool Link should not be mistaken for an air conditioner. This is a purifying fan and does not utilize any chemicals that are required to physically cool air. The cooling is a result of air movement and it eliminates 99.97% of allergens and pollutants in the environment as it cools. This is particularly valuable for households where allergies or asthma are a concern.

The fan keeps my cool at night and the remote is great when I wake up chilly in the morning and don’t want to leave my bed

We run roombas while at work and always try to keep everything clean and avoid any odor. I’m always conscious when people come over if there’s any lingering pet odors. When we set it up we ran some errands and came back a couple of hours later. There was a noticeable difference in the air quality, it didn’t feel as heavy breathing it in. We set it on auto and just let it do its thing.

Best Fan Ever for people with out pets

Dust/pet fur collect at the base and you must clean frequently to prevent the motor from dying. Dyson sent me a refurbished one after my last one stop working “quietly”.

Mainly used to clear the air of cigarette smoke as I am not a smoker and it really bothers my eyes etc...and also to help with cleaning the air as we are redoing our basement and lots of sheetrock dust etc floating around..! Leaves the rooms smelling nothing but FRESH & CLEAN! Very very pleased! Have not yet took advantage of the optional app for phone due to simply time constraints but will try to soon! Would definitely buy again...and may just do that one of these days!!

We have three cats and this air purifier/fan really makes a noticeable difference. My only compliant is that there isn't any way to link it to a smart home gateway yet.
