Would have given 5 stars but the microphone went out after 2 days . After contacting Ecobee customer service and going through all of the trouble shooting steps they sent me a replacement unit and that one has been working great!

I have mix feelings! I was excited to hear they built in Alexa! But after getting it home, I found out the features I use, like pandora for eg, don’t even work. Not to mention I have to scream for it to even hear me. Pretty disappointed there!! The price is very high for what your getting, don’t get me wrong, it does a great job at controlling temperature but after buying it I realized it was more of a compulsive buy than anything. Do you really think it cost anywhere close to 199 to build. I’m 100 percent sure not! Add lots more features and then it may be worth the price. I would say wait for the price to come down to 50 before buying.

Does not look as nice as the Nest, and build quality not quite as good since it is all plastic. It does have Alexa built in which is useful. You can set sleep/away/home modes and assign specific room sensors to those modes. For instance, only the bedroom sensor is active during sleep mode since that is the only room where the temperature matters during that time. However, this does not always seem to work and I will have to look into that. Overall, I would recommend over the Nest because of Alexa and because of the room sensors.

I've had this installed for nearly a month and couldn't be happier with it. I have an older house, with separate heating (boiler) and central air units. I thought it was going to be a difficult process with my house's old wiring, but the ecobee app and instructions walked me right through it without issue. Getting it set up and figuring out how to operate both the unit and app were quite simple as well. Very happy so far!

I bought two Ecobee 4 thermostats with Alexa integrated. The product works good and Alexa a good addition. The sensor is added bonus.

Works good, but the wifi disconnects every now and then. To reset it you have to pull it off the base on the wall and put it back on after about 2 to 3 minutes and it automatically reconnects to the wifi. As far as the functionality, the thermostat along with the app works very well. Already noticed about a $20 difference in the air conditioner cost. Installation was simple if you have the common C wire... if not it does come with the extender that with YouTube videos shows how simple it is to install.

I wanted a thermostat that made it easy to set schedules and adjust temperatures from a phone or laptop when I am out of town. This one fits the bill exactly. The interface for the apps is pretty good and it's working perfectly. The room sensors are a nice feature, so you can adjust temperatures during a certain time period based on a room sensor instead of the main unit.

This is an amazing smart home device! The Alexa works great and is very easy to use.

Great smart thermostat that provides additional sensor to monitor the entire house. It also has Alexa to connect with all your smart devices. I am enjoying it thus far.

Syncs up with Alexa. Does voice command. Regulates temps throughout the house.

It's easy to use and it was easy to set-up. I haven't found a way to turn off Alexa yet. I have an echo close so they both respond.

The Ecobee is an awesome thermostat but when you add Alexa it makes it so much better!

I’ve been trying to upgrade my home to a smart one, and the ecobee is great! I love that works with HomeKit, do that is ready for the Siri HomePod coming this fall.

Easy to install, great support for that. Alexa is not allowed to perform to its full potential, lacking somethings. One most annoying thing is that when I ask it to set temp at a certain degree, it confirms by saying that temp back, BUT ALWAYS sets it 3 degrees higher, 69 is 72, 72 is 75, etc. Have read about other with same issue. Speaker is what you would expect, adequate for background noise in a quiet room, but would depend on it for entertaining. E3 lite with an echo dot might be a better buy.

It works really well in keeping our home comfortable. The only issue is it keeps disconnecting from wifi, but that might be an issue with my internet connection.

I got this as a replacement for an old Nest thermostat. Pros: - Easy to install and setup - Touchscreen is easy to use - I like that the “home” screen showed a lot of different information - Sensor worked well and was nice to have Cons: - not as intuitive to use as Nest - scheduling wasn’t as easy to setup vs Nest - geofencing could only be setup with one phone - doesn’t look as nice as Nest I returned it and went with he 3rd gen Nest

i bought and installed the ecobee myself. it's super easy to install if you follow the directions and are a little handy around the house. ultimately it's fantastic to have homekit control, though i do worry the built-in alexa is listening to me even though i dont have it activated. the room sensors are very nice to have too. overall i highly recommend it!
