Excellent product. My son and I installed it in about 45 minutes. Guide easy to follow. Alexa integration (it is actually a dot equivalent). The included remote sensor makes it easy to change settings from our bedroom by voice commands. Many other features (timers, ranges, learns your routine) make this really cool smart-home addition. One thing I find peculiar...Echos' native mode is to take direct commands; ie... Alexa, do this. With Ecobee, you have to phrase it as a request and add a a step; ie... Alexa, ask Ecobee to set the temperature to 69 degrees. Since it is a Canadian product, I assume they are more polite--even to devices! HAHA-- easy to remember. It will pay for itself pretty quickly. As I said, excellent product.

As with all products that include Alexa, it’s kind of useless. You can’t do everything as you can with an actual Alexa device. I pretty much have learned not to purchase something that has Alexa built in for that reason, instead consider the product that does not have it built in and then buy a dot or echo device that can control it. The Alexa devices work very very well but when it is built in it just isn’t the same. I would recommend the ecobee without Alexa and then purchase whatever echo product fits you best.

I love having the option to use Alexa for weather reports or even playing music. It shows outside weather without even having to access Alexa but will tell you more if you ask Alexa for a weather report. This thermostat has works wonderfully for my needs

I've had the Nest...felt like it was overrated. The ecobee has been a nice upgrade and worked perfectly. Just had to upgrade one of our AC units and it has to use its proprietary thermostat and app. I'm still bummed.

This thing does everything we need and more. Installed easily and took just a few minutes.

This is an excellent smart thermostat. Has helped me save on my electric bills. And the fact that it works with my Alexa makes it even better. I also love the ability to change my thermostat from my phone.

We've been contemplating a smart thermostat for a while now, but finally settled on the ecobee with the room sensor! We have a newborn and it works great to keep our house at the proper temperature while maintaining a different temperature in his room. We also love that it knows when the house and room is occupied and adjusts settings to save energy! My husband is handy and installed this unit within 30 min

Overall I love this thermostat, how easy it is to use, the app that I have to control it on my phone, and using the Alexa feature.

Thermostat was simple to install and it provides all the functionality I was looking for. I enjoy the outdoor weather daily summary that is provided on the thermostat. It has been a great pick for me.

I did plenty of research on WiFi thermostats. I chose the Ecobee4 because of the addition of Alexa. I was concerned about the install but i watched the video and had it installed in 15 minutes. I put them throughout my house and they work flawlessly.

Easy to install and set up. I have had it about 2 months and have been very pleased!

Absolutely love this Very easy platform, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities, home and away settings, eco-friendly daytime settings. Love that I can set it up before I get home to a specific temperature. Has made life so much easier

This thermostat has been a welcome addition. It is easy to work, set, and setup.

Was easy to install, directions were very clear for the average home fixer upper with basic electricity knowledge and common hand tools, works as described and with the phone app it is nice to turn it on or off from the couch or bed, either heat or a/c

I strongly prefer the EcoBee to the Nest. I've had both and ultimately went with all EcoBee. The wiring harness it comes with makes it VERY simple to wire this into your furnace. I have no electrical background and basic mechanical knowledge, but I was able to attach the wiring harness to the furnace controller without issue. In this specific model I find the Alexa part of it a little gimmicky, but that's a minor complaint. Being able to talk to an Alexa enabled device to control your thermostat is nice, but the speaker in the thermostat is terrible. I'd be just as happy to have it work with an Alexa but never try playing music or anything like that. I'm sure there's a setting where I can make it do just that...so i didn't deduct any points.

Was easy to hook up w/ our older furnace - we got lucky as our vintage thermostat had aux power run to it. Was a snap to connect and we use the Alexa feature all the time. Speaker isn't too bad at all - keep our toddler entertained!

I would like to say I love these compared to my old Nest thermostats. They look better, provide more information and are more accurate since they come with a sensor you can put in another room. Also a breeze to set schedule.

Easy to install and highly intuitive setup. Remote access is very convenient and the app is incredibly responsive. The remote sensors seem to keep the HVAC running longer than before. Overall I recommend this thermostat.

Never thought I would see talking thermostats, but they are here. Lovely to be able to control the temperature of the house using Siri or on an app. Extra sensor is nice, although another one would have been nice. Reliable and easy to install.
