Robot vacuums are a dime a dozen today, but it seems like Ecovacs has really managed to include nearly every feature imaginable in this robot vacuum. That is only part of it though as they have to effectively do this which I can most certainly say they have done. First, upon opening the box you can tell the product has a great build quality as it has some heft to it and is not just cheap plastic and the matte black aesthetic fits in very discreetly and does not look cheap in the slightest. The setup was then a breeze as the app truly sets Ecovacs apart from other robot vacuums. After tinkering with the app for a few minutes to see all of the features I went ahead and ran the Deebot for its first run through simply for a full sweeping of my main floor while using the Google Assistant command. I was happy to find that it did not get stuck on any rugs or other obstacles and was pleasantly surprised with the suction power as it seemed to clean much better than the Roomba I had been using previously. Also the biggest thing for me was the speed in which it completed the job as it did not have to stop and charge and was able to get through the entire job without stopping. Then while looking back through the mapping that was created it was definitely spot on with the layout of my home down to many of the small intricacies. Another thing to mention is that the empty station is a must for a robot vacuum after coming from one without one! Anyways, after running the sweeping mechanism I had to try the mopping job to see how well it would work and I was again pleasantly surprised with how well it did as I definitely had my hesitations. I don`t know how often I will be reaching for my Tineco now with how effective the Deebot has been. Overall, you can`t go wrong with this robot vacuum and mop. From the aesthetics to the performance the Deebot seems to excel. The app is definitely the standout feature though as there are an extreme number of functions and facets available to tweak. I would definitely recommend this to those not wanting to break the bank, but also wanting all the features that come with high end robot vacuums and mops.

Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to try several robot vacuums, but nothing has come close to the ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT N10 Max+ Robot Vacuum & Mop. This unit offers so many features and outperforms all previous units and it also includes a mopping feature! As a dog owner, this is a must have for keeping our hardwood, tile and carpets free of hair/dirt on a regular basis. What’s in the box: - DEEBOT N10 Max+ vacuum and mop robot - Auto-emptying station - Dust bag - Washable mopping pad - User manual Setup: There are extensive instructions included (user manual) that are easy to follow and colored step-by-step instructions on the vacuum that made the initial setup a breeze. Ecovacs has done an amazing job of simplifying the setup process for the non-technical user. The DEEBOT should be fully charged before initial use. The side brushes can be installed at this point or left off for initial mapping of the required spaces. The areas being mapped should be accessible to the DEEBOT for a successful mapping process. This system uses Lidar and similar technology to self-driving cars to map out the spaces requiring cleaning. Once the area is mapped, rooms can be identified, and zones can be setup and customized as desired. There are numerous settings available based on user preferences in the Ecovacs app. Cleaning: Vacuuming - Although there are robot vacuums available that provide more “bells and whistles”, the DEEBOT N10 Max+ is one of the most powerful robot vacuums I have experienced. It has handled every bit of pet hair and dirt that’s been thrown at it! For being such a powerful vacuum, the unit runs very quietly making it unnoticeable as it goes about its work. Mopping - The mopping performance far exceeded my expectations. We have a small dog that keeps us on our toes in terms of cleaning the hardwood and tile flooring and it’s now a snap to keep floors clean. The DEEBOY will avoid carpeted areas when in mopping mode. Ecovacs App: The app is really the control center behind the DEEBOT robot and is packed with setting for customizing the vacuum to your home/use. It’s also user-friendly even for the non-technical users out there. There are so many features I’m still working my way through them all. Definitely switch on the auto-update option to keep the unit on the most recent software release. Pros: - Easy to set up and operate - Great build quality and design of vacuum and base unit - ECOVACS app is user friendly and packed with features - Cleaning capabilities of the mopping function are outstanding - Very quiet yet powerful vacuuming and mostly self-sufficient Cons: - Perhaps an extra mopping pad could be provided so swapping, cleaning would be easier. Overall: The ECOVACS Robotics DEEBOT N10 Max+ Robot Vacuum & Mop is a top-quality product packed with valuable and user-friendly features. It’s probably the smartest “smart” device we own but is a breeze to setup and operate. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a robot vacuum with mopping capabilities.

Ecovacs DEEBOT N10 MAX+ VACUUM AND MOP ROBOT is state of the art – LiDAR navigation, good sensors to keep it from banging into your furniture & walls, good tracking of the charging/auto-empty station so it finds its way back to it when needed without trouble, and I have to say it vacuums well, even hair in carpet. Regarding hair, I doubt any robot vacuum, or stand-alone vacuum for that matter, will clean all hair from carpet because, by its nature, hair sometimes insinuates itself into the carpet nap making it nearly impossible to remove by vacuuming. Thankfully, most hair doesn’t become wound into the carpet, so my experience so far is that the Ecovacs Deebot N10 Max+ cleans probably 95% of the hair that finds its way onto the carpet. The mopping part provides a similar experience to other mopping robot vacuums I’ve had. However, this one does avoid carpeted areas when you have the mopping pad attached, which is useful. The N10 Max+ has a water reservoir to the extreme rear of the robot, which you fill with water and attach the pad (mine came with one attached to the base plate that attaches to the bottom of the water reservoir) and 2 or 3 additional replacement pads. They are washable. When you send N10 to clean, it vacuums as the moistened pad cleans solid surfaces behind. Now, I used this is our tiled kitchen, and it did clean better than just vacuuming since various things tend to stick to the floor in a tiled kitchen. However, the mopping did not remove some of those spots, but it did others. Even though the N10 made a number of passes around our kitchen floor before it shut down, dragging a moistened pad on the tile can only do so much. But to give it its due, the floor was cleaner than just with vacuuming alone since vacuuming cannot remove much if it is even marginally stuck to a solid surface. Of course, you can download the app for the N10 Max+ that allows you to schedule cleaning times or direct your N10 in specific ways when you’re away from home, along with other features. I’m not one to use this sort of thing much so I typically just touch the one button on the top of the N10 while at rest at its station, which activates it for cleaning, and away it goes, returning to the charging/auto-empty station when needed. If for some reason your N10 has stopped away from the station or it’s still in motion but you think it’s cleaned enough, you can hold down on the button referred to above for 3 seconds, and it will then return to the station. Obviously using the app gives you somewhat easier control and options, but for me it behaves well enough so that when I want it to run just pressing its start button does what I need. I mentioned LiDAR navigation as a good thing because it helps it avoid cords and other items lying in its path more effectively than the ones that don’t utilize LiDAR. It has another plus to me and that is the little raised roof over the LiDAR sensor/scanner also helps it from running under some things that are really too close to the top of the robot. In the past, I’ve had robots run under a piece of furniture that had a high enough opening for it to fit and then got stuck under that furniture because the clearance between the bottom of the furniture and the floor lessened toward the back. Those with the LiDAR tower (I call it) have less instances of running under things that offer barely enough clearance going in but not out. Some improvements I would recommend (for all self-emptying vacuum robots) would be that whenever the robot returns to the station for charging it would automatically self-empty into the charging silo every time. I haven’t had this one long enough to know if it does or doesn’t do this, but others I’ve had only seem to self-empty when the robot’s bin is full. I would also like to see a bagless self-emptying silo. This one uses a bag as do all the other ones I’ve seen. Naturally, bagless would be simpler to handle and would avoid the expense of replacing bags. All in all, the Ecovacs DEEBOT N10 MAX+ VACUUM AND MOP ROBOT should be seriously looked at if you’re interested in a robot vacuum. It does a good job, is powerful and maps very accurately.

    ECOVACS Shines Once Again

This is my second robot vacuum from ECOVACS and once again I am completely satisfied. My previous vacuum is still going strong, this is simply an upgrade and addition. Having a combination of laminate hardwood and carpet in my home, the combination of a vacuum and floor mop in one is a huge time saver. The N10 Max+ precisely identifies the flooring difference and automatically adjust to the appropriate cleaning mode. I have to be honest - it's pretty amazing. Setup is incredibly easy, and made even easier if you are already an ECOVACS user such as myself. The vacuum assembly itself is very straightforward with minimal assembly / setup required. The hardest part is figuring out where you want the home base to live. The associated app adds to the overall ease of use, and the Alexa integration is phenomenal. I have both of my robot vacuums set to run each time I leave the house, guaranteeing I come home to clean floors and carpets. I receive notifications when the cleaning begins and ends, along with if the vacuum has encountered any trouble such as a tangled brush (which happens very rarely). As for cleaning capabilities - wow! Seriously, this robot vacuum is amazing. My carpets and floors are so incredibly clean, and the beautiful lines on the carpet make me that much happier. The initial cleaning takes a bit longer than subsequent ones. This is due to the vacuum needing to perform that first mapping. From there it figures out the most advantageous way to perform future cleanings. The obstacle avoidance is stellar. It easily detects objects in its path and reroutes to avoid those - including stairs. I've never had any issues with it becoming "lost", and it finds its way back to the base after each cleaning without fail. I appreciate the self emptying function following each cleaning. The holding container has enough capacity for several cleanings and is easily cleaned if needed. Maintenance is so easy as well. Whether it is changing brush heads, filters, or the bin - it is all so easy and minimal. If you've never had a robot vacuum - this is SOOOOO worth the investment. I cannot say enough about ECOVACS and their DEEBOT machines. This N10 Max+ is well built, has amazing performance, and has become one of my household essentials. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the market for a top of the line robot vacuum.

Excellent Product. The package is tightly packed and perfect. It includes a Robot (actual cleaning device), a charging and dust collector station, a ramp extension (used for the robot climbing path to nicely fit in the station - works without this extension, but preferred for carpets), a dust bag (this will be in the station), an instructions manual (good manual to go through and understand and set up the robot), a mopping pad plate (where we place a washable mopping pad), and a washable mopping pad (only one is provided, I wish they would have provided two so that we are not worried about immediately cleaning the pad for immediate use - always having two pads would be better, so that we do not need to worry much). The installation process is very easy. When you initially open it, it may look a little complicated by looking at the manual book and all the pieces, but trust me, it is easy to install. However, if you are new to auto robots, it may take a little time to explore all the provided features. I am sure nobody knows all the features end to end :) but will learn and use them when we start using it. In terms of how things are working: In vacuum mode, it is a powerful machine that sucks up most of the dust. There are no issues with timings at all, and I am pretty sure it does the job without stopping because of battery issues. The mopping system is well-designed. The whole pad will be wet equally, and it is not just sweeping the floor. It keeps moving up and down so fast at the same time, which is good for cleaning. It does an excellent job. My only issue with mopping is the single pad - they should have provided two pads so that we can use them back to back. It can identify objects and move away from them while doing the job. Cleaning is a big thing for any vacuum cleaner, and I want to divide this into three sections below: > Auto Clean: The dust collector sucks 97% of the dust from the robot bin. It leaves a little bit here and there, but it is not a big deal. Overall, it works great. > Robot parts cleaning: It is not hard. It is always suggestible to clean the robot when needed for better performance. It is very easy to open parts and pull out the hair strucks on the rotator wheel and clean filters. The filter system is very good. > Mopping Pad cleaning: It is not hard. It is like any regular mopping thing cleaning. The app integration is excellent. The app has a lot of features and settings and works smoothly without any issues. Performance is great. There are no issues at all. Some sounds will be there, but again, if it is making sound, it means it is doing its job right :) I do not have any complaints about it. There are no scheduling issues, no charging issues, and no regrets. I will definitely recommend this product to my friends and family, and I am sure you will like it.

This EcoVacs Deebot Vacuum and Mop Robot does an excellent job of vacuuming and mopping. It really picks up the dust and dirt from bare floors and carpet in an efficient pattern. The side brushes are long and have a good reach for moving crumbs away from corners and edges so they can be picked up. The roller brush underneath along with powerful suction does a very good job of pulling in dirt and dust from the floors. The robot has no problem going from bare floor to carpet. My transition strip has a spot that is not as flat as the rest, but the robot just worked it's way around it until it found a spot to travel over. There is a ramp extension included if you need to set the charging base on carpet, I placed the base on bare (laminate) flooring and it is able to easily leave the base to begin cleaning and return when finished. I like that the robot has a voice. It is loud enough, clear and pleasant. When the vacuum needed to stop because hair had gotten wrapped around the brushes, I didn't have to wonder what the problem was. I was in an adjoining room but able to hear and understand it clearly and once the brush was cleaned, the robot let me know it was ready to continue cleaning. It lets me know when it's beginning, when it's finished, if the mop plate is attached, when it's charging, when it's emptying the dust bin. And the self emptying feature is awesome. It empties the bin into a vacuum bag at the end of the cleaning. The mopping feature does a very good job. I was a bit skeptical about it staying on the laminated flooring and not crossing onto the carpet. It worked perfectly at that. I did not put anything in the way to prevent it from crossing and just watched to see how it would do and it did not disappoint at all. It came to the edge and turned around each time without getting on the carpet. The only thing I wish it would do when mopping is to not return to the charging base automatically afterward. It needs to have the mopping pad removed and the water emptied/dried off before it goes back on the base, but it will go put itself back on if you're not there to stop it when it's finished mopping. I did have some trouble getting the vacuum to connect to the app. I have a mesh system and the app wasn't able to connect to the 2.4G wifi until I unplugged the nearest mesh pod and moved the vacuum to the opposite side of the house from the main router, effectively cutting off the 5G signal. Once I connected to the vacuum to the app I was able to plug the mesh pod back in and it has stayed connected to the 2.4G signal. In the app you can start the vacuum, set up scheduling, see the mapping the vacuum has made and add new maps if you like. This vacuum does a great job and really helps to maintain the floors while saving you time. I absolutely recommend this one.

I previously had a roomba robot vacuum that i had basically packed up and left in storage because it was essentually more trouble than it was worth. A lot of robot vacuums come with the issue that they don't work well in smaller spaces such as apartments if you have a lot of walls or limited space. The deebot is a game changer for this! I did the initial clean on mine and it maps your entire space while also vacuuming and makes a general map of your space and where you want cleaned. Since my sons room is normally a mess, I left his door closed so it would avoid that space. I let it roam my apartment for around 40 minutes on it's first go and it really did a great job of learning the entire space and seeing what areas it should clean. Now my robot has an entire map on the connected app of my apartment where I can label the spaces and set certain areas to clean. Since my kitchen is all laminate, I avoid that space and would rather do it myself. I love that it maps spaces and allows me to create my own cleaning schedule based on space and a time that works for me. Not to mention, this one will auto clean itself once it docks! You don't have to worry about emptying the tank, it automatically empties once it docks itself and the dock doesn't need to be emptied as often as a smaller vacuum.

I had the previous version of this vacuum and the boost in both power and battery life have made this a worthy upgrade. It's also the first robot vacuum I've had that doesn't stuck every few minutes. The setup is simple out of the box, as is the setup through the app. I had to run the WiFi setup a few times before realizing that it would not work on my 5G network, no biggie. I was running the initial mapping within minutes and was impressed by both the power and the intuitiveness. It did equal parts awesome on both carpet, hardwood and the tile in my kitchen and bathrooms. I have 3 cats and this does an amazing job of cleaning up their messes from hair, litter and food. Once the map was complete I was able to create zones and also mark spots where I do not want the vacuum to go. The mopping features works really well, however, my floors have a sheen to them that is hard to clean without leaving streaks. I still have to go over the floors with a towel to get the streaks out, but that's the fault of my floors, not the vacuum. For the power, battery and value, I am very happy with this vacuum.

I wish I would have either spent a little more for something better, or a little less to get the job done for now. So I'm torn. I'm not sure if this model was worth the money I spent. It definitely can't clean on it's own, & has lots of issues docking itself, even though it's a level floor, in an open space. Issues with the results, & although it has different options in settings, like with automatically emptying it's dustpan, no matter if I choose option for every 20 minutes, or default of automatically after it docks when job is completed, it hasn't emptied automatically, or on it's own once, I always have to go in the app & press the button manually, even when dustpan was overly full, I had to press the button manually. Other reviews raved about this model's mopping skills, a big reason why I chose it, but I wouldn't really call it mopping, it's just vacuuming with a wet pad attached. Which needs to be manually attached to mop, then removed to vacuum the rest of the house. It also gets stuck at every chair leg, base of cat tree, & small end table. I really regret paying more money for a model I still have to keep watch over constantly, & need to be present to put all the chairs up, empty dustpan while it cleans, help it dock, & help it when it gets stuck at every small piece of furniture. It's all the negatives people complained of the Bissell Spin Mop, & why I didn't buy it, even though it was half the cost. My advice, keep looking!

    Best Robot Vacuum So Far

To begin, unboxing and getting started was pretty easy. The instructions were clear and straightforward. It also helps that I previously owned a different model. I used the app to connect the vacuum to my WiFi(Note it has to be 2.4g) and let it charge for a little bit. Once I was ready for the first cleaning, I let it go with no issues. It took 35 minutes to clean the upstairs of my house. Afterwards, it was time to use this to mop. I never used the mopping feature on my previous device, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into. I followed the instructions to fill the reservoir and attach the mopping pad. When I reattached it to the robot, it automatically recognized it and made an announcement that it was now in mopping mode. It took another 35 minutes to mop the upstairs of my house and it did a job job mopping, I was worried my floor would get soaked. I only saw small streaked of water that quickly dried. Also, I need to mention the dust bin. This is a new feature to me. After two vacuums and one mop, I haven't had to empty it. I guess it more conveinent to empty the bin instead of the vacuum. This is a huge upgrade to the model that I had before and I was satisfied with that. There are no cons I cann think of with this vacuum and I highly recommend it to everyone.

Got this on sale for 200. If I paid anywhere close to the supposed msrp I'd be angry and return it. It vacuums pretty well at least. But the mapping is awful. It constantly loses its place and then duplicates the map so I get several of the same rooms at weird angles which causes it to never find the base and ignore virtual boundaries. This might be okay if the app were functional but half the features related to managing the map just straight up don't work. Again for the price I paid it's okay. Not worth anywhere close to the msrp though.

The ECOVACS Robotics - DEEBOT N10 MAX+ Robot Vacuum and Mop is not our first smart robot vacuum but it is the first one that comes with a wet mopping function. It came packed very well, double boxed with plenty of packaging and protective tape and foam in all the right places. There is an easy to follow step-by-step instructions sheet affixed to the top of the vacuum. It includes a QR code you can scan that will guide you through the download/install of the EcoVacs Home App. The DeeBot will first have to charge for some time while you’re getting acquainted with the App. I allowed it to charge for a few hours until it was fully charged. On its maiden voyage, it went about its floor mapping business, around furniture obstacles, even over the thresholds between the living room and kitchen. The obstacle avoidance works really well, thanks to the LiDAR sensor that helps it adjust its path and cleaning optimization based on the surface it’s going over. Unlike the other popular competitor that goes in straight lines back and forth all over the floor, the DeeBot is much quicker to scan the rooms. It completed nearly 500 sqft mapping of 3 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room and bathroom in about 15 minutes, after which it returned to the home base that I placed in the living room. The cleaning can be done for the entire mapped area or you can label and select individual rooms that have been mapped or restrict rooms/areas from vacuuming. Once it was done vacuuming, it easily found its way back to the cleaning station for charging. After a few runs, when the vacuum dirt tray is full, it will automatically kick in the self-emptying routine to the auto empty station that came with a waste bag pre-installed. Too bad there is no bagless container instead of having to buy disposable bags over and over. Back to cleaning, the DeeBot was quieter than the competing models I’ve used from other vendors before and thanks to its Lidar object detection, it does not violently bump into anything, instead it slows down right before the object and then turns away or around. Moreover when the mopping function is enabled, it will know when it reaches a carpeted area, so it will avoid it or just use the vacuuming feature and not try to mop/wet the rug - pretty smart. Speaking of smart, it can be paired with Alexa and will respond to voice commands, and also “talk back” giving short verbal updates. Overall if you are in the market for a more affordable robot vacuum, and especially if you have pets that shed a lot of hair, this is one smart robot vacuum to get.

This vacuum is great. It's efficient and the color is nice. The mop feature is also very good and unique compared to some other robo-vacuums that I've used. I find it very easy to use. Once I set up the base and vacuum itself, you can just start it right up even without the app. The app itself isn't very difficult to use and it is recommended to at least use the app so that you can fine tune the vacuum even more. The app even gives a map of your location so that you know which areas the vacuum have hit already. The mapping is very general and it's really just an overview of what the vacuum "sees." I don't see it much as a security threat or anything. The app is also optional as I have mentioned already earlier. In the app, you can also control when you want the vacuum to clean and you can set up virtual boundaries in areas that you don't want the vacuum to go to. I highly suggest getting the app with the vacuum to have total control of your cleaning. It's not needed but it's also very cool to be able to track your vacuum.

    [18mo update] Self-emptying fails routinely

This is an update to a review I wrote upon initially getting this. After months of usage, I have noticed that I routinely have to check on the bot after it docks from overnight cleaning to see if it did indeed empty as it should've. 90% of the time I am met with a completely stuffed dustbin after it's done 860sqft of vacuuming in its overnight task. It stops multiple times during the routine to "empty" but clearly isn't doing the trick. The mechanism has faults that simply don't allow it to be effective. Keep this in mind if you plan to set this unit to vacuum a large or high-traffic area.

Love the way it cleans, it does skip edges when darker edges are there

I wish it had boundaries where you could limit it to certain areas. Id buy again.
