Eero pro 7 is NOT easy to set up

When shopping for a new router and modem to access faster internet, the eero was highly suggested especially for the ease and quickness of setting up, so I purchased it for 550.00, along with a new Netgear modem. Well first I was sold the wrong modem which my internet service did not offer, so I had to return it. Finally I exchanged the non approved modem fir one that worked, HOWEVER, it littery took 8 HOURS to make connection. Literally the worst router I’ve ever purchased!

The extended 8-hour setup time you experienced is definitely not typical for eero systems, which are designed for straightforward installation. Several factors may have contributed to the setup difficulties: your internet service provider may have required specific activation steps for the new modem, including registering the modem's MAC address on their network before it became fully operational; firmware updates often occur automatically during initial setup, and if multiple updates were queued, this could extend the process considerably; network interference from neighboring Wi-Fi networks, particularly in dense residential areas, can also complicate the initial configuration and connection establishment. For optimal setup in the future, ensure your modem is fully activated with your ISP and showing a stable internet connection when connected directly to a computer before beginning setup, keep your phone close to the eero unit with Bluetooth enabled during the eero app setup process, use the latest version of the eero app, and try to perform setup during off-peak hours when network traffic is lower. Given that you experienced an 8-hour setup process, there may have been a specific compatibility issue between your new Netgear modem and the eero system, or your ISP may have had backend provisioning delays, as the eero Pro 7 should typically complete setup within 10-15 minutes under normal conditions. Overpriced and poor Mesh network

The Eero was advertised as being a great mesh network. I have 4 units and get incredible drop off when I get further than 20 feet from a node. My old Google Wifi mesh was 80% better. Very disappointed.

Strategically placing your eeros is the single most important step you can take to ensure your system provides fast, reliable WiFi to every room in your home. Here are some tips to follow: 1. Place eeros where they can talk to each other. 2. Place eeros on a hard, flat surface. 3. Keep your eeros out in the open. 4. Whenever possible, aim for direct line of sight between eeros. The fewer the walls between your eeros, the better. If this information doesn’t resolve your issue, call eero customer service at (877)659-2347. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. Unstable internet, reselling this

Unstable. I have 2 ISPs, and internet will randomly drop with both. Fine for a few days, then will drop half a dozen times in a single day for a minute or so, then comes back. I've seen 4-5 firmware updates since owning the device, no improvement. Can't even retrieve log files from the router, and subscription is required for basic features like seeing activity and setting up automatic failure. Past my return period so I'll have to resell. I heard eero "just works"...yeah, no.

Soft resetting your gateway eero (the one connected to your modem) can be a useful troubleshooting step. To soft reset your eero: Hold the reset button on the bottom of the eero until its LED flashes yellow (approximately 7 seconds). Once it flashes yellow, release it. As the eero boots up, the LED will flash white, then blue, and then return to solid white. Once the LED is solid white, you should be able to see your eero is back online in the eero app. If you still experience connection drops, take note of the time of the drop and reach out to customer service so that they can troubleshoot further. Could not get them to work, returned them. It could be my wireless service is not compatible.
