Nice small speaker fits in a small, crowded space, the sound of the voice is crystal clear, base is not overpowering but you can feel it, high tones are nice but not painful to the ears. A very high-quality speaker.

I am very pleased with these speakers. They have good separation, nice highs and midrange and decent bass. I use the Elac slim bookshelf speakers to listen to music in my den I had an old Denon AVR (3808CI) which was just sitting on a shelf. Now it's the heart of my stereo system. It easily drives the Elacs which are 4 ohm speakers. I also have a Marantz CD6006, a Linn LP12 turntable and a Bluesound Node 2i for streaming music. I can sit and listen to music for hours. Life is good.

Every once in awhile I come across an affordable bookshelf speaker that causes me true emotion. Sonus Faber Concerto, KEF 101, PSB Alpha, Boston Lynnfield's, come to mind. The ELAC Uni-Fi created that same excitement in me. At $750 a pair, I expected shortcomings and out of the box I thought one of the shortcomings was the lack of openness of vocals. Vocals seemed gritty and compressed. The speaker however did portray a very large soundstage, with height, and depth. One week into this, the speaker is sounding sweeter and sweeter. The vocals opened up and I am amazed what Andrew Jones has done in creating an audiophile experience at a mere mortal price. I look forward to a long relationship with these speakers. Oh and the white gloss finish has garnered many positive comments.

Really have enjoyed these speakers. 2 weeks ago, read an article that said these speakers like the back wall. Like, by a gap of 5 inches. Had these speakers about a foot away from the wall and it never dawned on me to move it back. I did and, OH MY! The whole wall came alive. Enjoying these even more.
