    I ordered this unit for a client with a Macbook Pro and was able to get HDMI to an external monitor, audio to speakers, USB printing, wired networking, and still have room for expansion. The only issue I have is that I hoped this dock would also provide charging power thru the thunderbolt connection but it doesn't appear to. Still need AC connection along with thunderbolt.

    It has thunderbolt and HDMI ports which I needed. Price is high for item but I kept it because I don't want to keep connecting cords and it will work with my MacBook Air or MacBook Pro

    First off, kudos to Best Buy tech clerks: I only knew that I wanted a docking station and asked them for help. The clerk examined the MacPro and then guided me to the best product that offered what I needed. Installation was easy as 1-2-3 and within minutes I was operating with dual screens! Thanks BEST BUY for being there when needed!

    This vendor's policy is that you cannot return the item if it is has been opened. I was giving bad advice that this was the product I needed. I bought it, opened it, went to hook it up and immediately determined it was not what I needed. But because the box has been opened, the vendor will not take it back. So I'm stuck with a ~$250 paper weight. Very frustrating...
