As passionate an adaptation as it gets

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is the closest adaptation of the novel, filled with all the brooding lovelorn characters we all love to hope to never imitate. Fiennes is an excellent Heathcliff (probably only matched by Olivier and Hardy), casting spells as only a certain V would. Binoche is riveting as Katherine, as she enchants the audience with spell after spell, as the characters attempt to alter their tragic destiny through their future progeny. Anyone interested in the many adaptations of this classic should also look into the Andrea Arnold version as well.
