It's ok but nowhere near the quality of the Original NES Advantage. I know this because I have my original one from the 1980's that still works great. This is kind of a cheap version of it. The buttons are loud, the joystick is loud as well. It works, but it's not even close to what I expected which was not a whole lot. I am going to keep it but my question is that will it hold up after a year of normal use. I doubt it. Nintendo should just release the NES Advantage for this system. I would be extremely happy then. I'm not saying not to buy this, but keep in mind that it is very noisy compared to the original one.

For what it is at the price it's pretty good comes with more then what it needs to (which is always nice) my only problem is you have to be precise and it can have it's bugs here and there (such as having to unplug and plug it back due to it not connecting in but for me this problem only seems to happen on 2 players otherwise it's fine) overall I'd say it's worth it and a neat thing to use.

I was pretty excited to receive this controller but it has had a couple of issues. Every once in a while when I go back to the classic main menu the controller seems to have a stuck button and takes me right back into the last game. It also seems a little laggy.

Makes game play easier. Easy to control. Fun joystick

Playing with this controller on my wii u brings back so memories

This only works OK, little bit of a lag. Are used to have an original one for the original NES, it was a very solid, this one is not, but still kind of fun

I had a controller just like this for my old nes unit. it was called a nes advantage controller. I never was good with the controllers in either the old or the new nes units, this controller is much better.

Purchased for NES CLASSIC. Good addition for galaga, but I don't think it's that's responsive for pacman. I like it but I don't love it. I sense some lag.

I bought mine on while these were low in stock! It works great with Galaga but for PAC-MAN it was a little disappointing. When the joystick is engaged in any direction it doesn't always result in movement making it hard to play PAC-MAN

Bought first controller and something just didn't feel right. There was a noticeable lag from hearing the clicking of the switches to when the game would respond. Just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, I compared response time with the stock NES pad and there was no lag with the pad. Also, the turbo knobs didn't do anything for auto-fire rate. I returned the first controller and exchanged for a second one. The second one had very noticeable differences from the first one. There was no lag in response time, I was happy. The knobs on the auto-fire actually did something, the red LED blinked and indicated the rate of fire as opposed to the first controller which just stayed solid red. I thought YAY! but nope. The controller does not return to neutral position a good 95% of the time when moving right. Even worse if the whole joystick is tilted to the right, the joystick will never go back to neutral. Save your money and hope that Nintendo makes an NES Advantage controller.

If you are lucky enough to have a mini NES classic system you need this joystick. Great length to connecting cord. Allows more precise cornering to games on the mini.

I was really excited to order this controller. My kids don't know the joy of playing the older games. We bought an NES Classic and I immediately ordered one of these to compliment it. There's a ton of lag between the actions on the display and the action the gamer takes on the controller. Not sure what the fix might be. Also the joystick is very stiff and the plastic is very creepy and creeks a lot.

I absolutely love this controller!! it makes me feel like I'm a little kid again and I'm at the arcade! great for when u play galaga and pac-man!!

Not much games this is used for and input lag is great. Does not register button input well on joystick or buttons. Like it can’t decide which button you push if you used a joystick it can’t do both at once. Maybe mind defective but I bought on clearance and more likely be sold out soon if I wanted it replace back when I bought it. So I chose to not do anything with it and take it as lost.dont Buy

it's very precise very well made I can't wait to get my hands on the new Super Nintendo Classic mini lol

Good controller for the money. Not as well built as the original NES Advantage controller but it does the trick for the arcade feel.
