Motion sensor not smart

I first bought this item because I thought it was a great bundle: smart switch and smart motion sensor. Well, the motion sensor only activates this switch and this switch only. It does not any compatibility wit your Z-wave network at all. (At least I couldn't get it to work).

purchased this switch thinking I would see both the sensor and the switch in the Smartthings app but as mentioned by someone else you can only control the switch.
I was hoping the sensor would also be something that talked to the app as that would open the door for many different automation throughout the home.
Gave it 2stars as I think at this point it's an overpriced occupancy switch.

Not a great smart switch.

Not a bad stand alone switch but not a great smart switch. As other have stated the motion is stand alone, meaning your network will not know if motion is activated. It's just a smart switch with 3 motion options. I would have given it more stars but it is missing a vital 4th option. It has auto on off, manual on off, and manual on auto off. Sadly no auto on manual off feature. I really want to use this in my garage to auto turn on the lights at entry then manually turn them off when I leave, no shot.. I ended up using in my guest bathroom so there's less contact.

Depending on the hub you have, you might be limited on how much you can integrate and customize the behavior of the switch. Nexia and Fibaro should both have hubs that allow you to utilize the sensor and setup different actions/behaviors with it.

Poor Zwave switch

I planned on using these for my bathroom so I could leave the fan running and have it shut off with no motion detected. After a long time trying to set up properly I thought it was set to a 10 minute timer, yet regularly it would be on 20 minutes later (which isn’t even an option. I have many other Ge zwave items and have been very happy, but these were a complete waste of time and money.

I have two of these one in my mudroom and another in the kids bathroom. The in the mudroom triggers other lights in the kitchen when I come home. The kids bathroom one triggers another smart switch that controls the fan. Its been flawless with my hubitat hub.
