There is so much base. I got a floor model and so far no problems. I just have to turn the volume control a tiny notch and the base starts booming. If I turn the control any lower it would be off.

Needed some extra bass for some bookshelf speakers and this filled the void. Gods price. Great connection options. Nice auto on/off. Compared to othe subwoofers you can't beat the specs for the price. And it was in the magnolia section so it's a high end subwoofer at a reasonable price. Still waiting for it to fully break in but adds just the right oomph adding to the music without distraction if you tweak the setup and don't get carried away.

First off, this review is not just for the ESW-C10 subwoofer but for a set of Energy speakers. I purchase the a pair CF-30 for l/r, CC-5 for center, CB-5 for l/r surround and the ESW-C10 subwoofer, for a 5.1 setup. BB sales rep. suggested this combo to replace my old satellite speakers. I did expect better audio quality from these speakers from the satellite, but I was surprise by how much better the sound quality improved. The sound coming from the CF-30 is warm and clear, add the C10 subwoofer and listening to 2.1 is a bliss. The only shortcoming for this combo is when watching movies, I had to raise CC-5 db level up 4.5 to make dialogs clearer, and the sub didn't give me the impact I like at the lower end. For a small room or for someone on a budget, the combo is more that adequate. After about two months though, I decided to change the CC-5 to CC-10 and bought another CC-5 for surround. Raise the center to 2 db and the dialogs problem for movies is no more, couldn't be happier. I know there's better speakers out there but my bet is that they also cost twice or more. I'm keeping the CB-5 for a 7.1 system when I can get a better receiver. My problem now is, 2.1 or 5.1 when listening to stereo music, but I'm listening to music a lot more these days.

It was easy to install. The sound is very loud for its size. Was very surprised by it. Base volume can be adjusted at any time.

This subwoofer is a great deal... for the price. I would recommend this product to anyone. It fills up the room with base.

Not as powerful as the specs say, but still a pretty good sounding sub with both movies and music.

My husband and I were looking for different things in a sound system. I wanted the full movie theater effect with the subwoofer and my husband wanted something that was good for listening to music. This subwoofer fit the bill. Also the sales people were very helpful and knowledgeable.

We live in an apartment so we didn't want a super powerful woofer so we went with this one because it sounded great and was inexpensive compared to the other, higher power, models. We love it. It delivers plenty of bass without being obnoxious. It is also super easy to set up

Nice and tight sub. Sounds good with music and movies and goes plenty loud.

So far so good. No complaints. Music sounds awesome thanks to this subwoofer and Pioneer Elite receiver matched up with it. I must say I don't know much about sound quality but this brings awesome sound to my Russound speakers.

I love this sub and I recommend it for anyone looking for a nice sub! Did a lot of researching and listening and fell in love with this Energy 10" 400 watt sub. It sounds amazing. Very clear, crisp, and great bass. I'm running it on a Pioneer Elite receiver and right now with Energy bookshelf speakers. Love it!

I was very surprised when I felt the first BOOM coming out of this subwoofer. My living room is a 20x15 and man does this woofer fill in that room plus my second living room.

I upgraded from a Definitive technology super cube 2 to this sub. The base is much tighter and power is impressive. I am very happy with this sub and look forward to buying additional B&W products, in the future!

I am using this sub as part of a full Energy 5.1 system. Have not used it when playing just music. Best of all, the wife does not complain about the size. Energy does make some great sounding speakers for the money.

I bought this as an open box item as an add-on to an extra receiver that I use to listen to my older vinyl. It's being used in a smaller room, but I think would easily handle something larger. The addition made a huge difference in the sound. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.
