Awesome camera! The view is clear night or day. Night vison is good. The distance is good, shows plenty. From my home to across the street over 100 feet it shows everything. Solar battery seems to always be charged. Ran the camera for almost a hour at night watching it throught the app and it only went down 2%. I paid 200 and now its 99 so a a bit upset about that.

The video quality is really good and the local storage is very useful, no more subscription for me. However, when I receive a notification and click to view the video it appears white for a few seconds and sometimes I have to reload it so I can view the recording. Zoom is decent, not as much as I would like but good enough, HDR does need some improvements, highlights as well.

Great product. Obviously best for sunny areas. Tend to get hyper and send you alerts for nothing when you check your 'events' in the app. App needs redesign, a tat too complicated and too saturated with advertisement for their other products

Great camera it's clear . It really is solar power . Now I tried this inside my hallway where the lights are on most of the day and it does keep the battery full. The speaker is loud to where I had to lower the volume. The flood light is bright . It brings the mount and the USB cable to charge it. The only thing I wish it had was a sdcard slot to upgrade the memory. It a big camera but that's because of the solar panel on top. The recordings stay inside the built in storage . You don't need a monthly subscription. Anker did a good job with this one

This camera does the trick man. It notifies you pretty quick and the quality image is great. Im going to buy 2 more for the house for sure. Worth the money. My one ding to it is that over time, the elbow piece that holds it still gets loose over time and won't hold it without a bracket for support which i had to do. But the self charging using solar and ease of use definitely makes me want to purchase more for the house, and I will.

Easy to set up. Did a good job monitoring our front porch. I like that it is solar and charges each day. Also has a spotlight alarm. I like the feature that lets you choose target location for monitoring is cool too.

The battery on the camera last for a long time. It does not record 24/7, it only records when motion has been detected. Notifications to the phone are inmediatly. Great quality for a security camera.

Clear video and straight forward setup. The app is solid and gets the job done. The reason this is not a five star review is because the battery life is not as impressive as my previous Eufy spotlight cam which would go for months without a charge. I don’t have this camera in an optimal place for solar charging, but I thought it would last more than a month.

This is a nice solar outdoor camera which is easy to install. The security camera captures clear pictures and transmits them to our phone. But the night time pictures are not the best. We will buy it again .

Clear video and audio. Solar keeps it charged. Timely remote notification with download of locally stored event.

Although the cameras are good, sometimes they go offline which is disappointing

good cameras dont have to be wired and recharge as solar the only thing i didnt like was they dont pick up motion to record up to only 25 feet!i may have to buy 2 more to cover my 2000 foot house all around property i have 6 cameras now geek squad hooked them up they know what they are doing! very kind and good service!

The camera works fine and has lots of options, and integrates perfectly with all the other Eufy products we already had. It only loses a star for the mount breaking on install (I’m confident it wasn’t user error since I found many similar reviews when I looked online). The screws were terrible, they were stripped before they were even halfway in. Luckily the company told me to buy a replacement on Amazon, which they reimbursed me for! And the new mount was strong metal, not the weaker plastic that comes with the product.

Good quality, there are times when they don't capture the video but they are rare.

The Eufy Security SoloCam S40 is an impressive all-in-one security solution that combines robust features with ease of use.

Charging doesnt seem to like any clouds in the sky at all. And app can be slow to show events/live feed at times. But other than that, super easy to setup and connect. Faster app would give it 5 stars

These are good cameras, I have these and then the 4k version and id recommend the 4k versions over these, these ones don’t charge as well with the sun, other than that they are great

The missing fifth star is because is does occasionally require manually wall charging, the solar power could be better.
