"Europa Report" is a first-rate movie in documentary style. It's told by the actors as the drama unfolds with little commentary from others. One problem with this style is that the movie can slow down, which happens with this movie. It's not too bad, though. There is plenty of suspense, and the actors respond realistically to the action. The set is excellent, and that helps the actors fill out the roles. If you're looking for blockbuster action, this film is not for you. If you're interested in serious sci-fi that explores the possibility of life in our solar system, this movie is for you. It's a fun movie with a good payoff at the end.

I missed this movie when it came out in theaters so when i saw it on sale at Best Buy I picked it up. I was not disappointed. It is a nice change from the silly "blow-them-up" rubbish that passes for science fiction. The acting & direction are consistently good. For the most part, the directory resists the temptation of sudden loud noises to startle the audience. If you prefer "Star Trek" to "Star Wars" you will like this movie. If you just like watching things blow-up with loud noises then this is not for you.

I heard a lot of buzz on the internet about this movie. It was one of the first crowd-funded movies, and also was one of the first which was released as streaming video simultaneously with a limited theatrical release. Despite a relatively low budget this movie has high production values and is a well-crafted, well acted movie. The movie is done in the style similar to many reality TV shows out today but it works. If you like science fiction adventure stories, particularly if you liked The Martian, check this movie out.

The Blu-Ray is clear and has good sound. Go to IMDb if you're wondering about the plot and reviews. One thing to consider - most of the movie is shot from the standpoint of crew quarter cameras, or helmet cams to try and give the film a more documentary feel. It worked for me...

From all the hype to critics reviews, every one says this is a superior sci-fi film. Did anybody bother to watch it? No suspense, no mystery, below average acting and predictable from start to finish. It's like a bad compilation of a few quality science fiction films. Dialogue is boring, special effects were average at best, and it presents you with nothing you haven't seen a dozen times before. I was waiting for it to get better, but it never does. My recommendation; rent it first. That way you won't waste as much money as you would buying it.

This movie was a surprise for me, because I usually don~t like the found footage type of movie, but since I love sci-fi stuff and decided to give it a change and I love it, of course it's not a big budget movie and is really well made and the actors were really good. The visuals are surprisingly good for the movie size.

Worth a watch. Interesting SciFi story. Done very realistically by current standards and believable with current technology or that not so far off in the future. I didn't really like the POV filming like a reality show but I got used to it and it worked by the end. Shows you what could go wrong on a long voyage into space.

If you like space and scifi, you will like this movie, acting could be a bit better but however the movie was well done.

80 percent of this movie was entertaining until the end which became cheesy and a little lame but i did enjoy it. Kind of reminded me of sci fi movie " Sunshine" by director Danny Boyle. If you enjoyed " Sunshine" you'll also enjoy "Europa Report".

This movie had some surprisingly good graphics for a smaller studios movie. Would definitely recommend if you are into space movies and/or horror. There are a few jump scares, but the film is lacking in substance. Would definitely recommend if you are into science fiction.

An interesting movie with a not unrealistic story line. With billion of planets out there you can be certain there is some type of life on millions of them. Decent acting and great special effects.

There won't be any academy awards for this one, but it's a fun little thriller. The effects are pretty decent. Jupiter and Europa look good. The story and cinematography suffer from some overly convenient suspense building tricks, but otherwise, not bad.

I never heard of this film before, but decided to watch since I always like Sci-Fi films. It was a very dramatic, well made film. All in all, it was a very interesting movie.

The reality of what it would be like on the moon Europa. Suspenseful makes us realize we really have no idea if life is out there or what form it will take if we do find it.

Interesting movie for those who like SiFi. I specially liked the report format and the press conference. Reminds us of the fact that we are most likely not alone.

The setting and the suspense are what really shine. It's not amazing, but it is definitely worth a watch if you enjoy films that are more about the psychology of what if instead of the more traditional thriller.

Shot in the found footage format, this film builds suspense slowly but with intensity. Little by little you see the break down of a mission to moon Europa. The acting is great and is reminiscent of Lake Mungo. If you liked Sunshine (Danny Boyle) then you will most likely enjoy this movie. The blu-ray has a behind the scenes that explores creating the images for the movie, interviewing the cast, and the making of Bear Mccreary's awesome soundtrack.

Really enjoyed this movie and it's realistic approach to a scientific expedition. It dragged in a couple of spots but overall is a fun movie!

This movie was for the most part predictable and I found it to be a cross between "The Walking Dead" and "The Mars Chronicles". It was OK if you are just bored and looking for something to pass the time.

I had seen this in the store many times so when it went on sale I picked it up. Beautifully shot and acted, tight Sci Fi film.
