The 260 gtx is one of the best mid-range video cards ever made as a single card it has more than enough memory and core to let you run games and hd video with ease but with one in sli you will just dominate games I grab my second one abit late since production has stopped and its going to be gone off the market soon the price has risen abit since my first one but still as good as any 275 or higher card. If you do buy evga is great since they offer limited lifetime warrenty and their precision software to set either one or both card in sli and overclock without voiding warrenty. I personally have set my gpu to overclock at 675core, 1153shader, and 1152 memory. if you want you can set it way higher just play with it. I highly recommand you grab 2 to sli it before its gone. If you don't mind abit slower 2x 250gts with 1000mb would do great as well for any gamer or video enthusiast with a slightly lower price tag. I had to pick as second one up to sli before I couldn't find another one.
