I'm going to start this review by saying picking the best graphics card was the most difficult decision I've had to make in a long time. This was my first PC build and I wanted a graphics card that I wouldn't have to replace for at least 2 to 3 years so I figured the nvidia 10 series was my best option. After scouring the internet looking at reviews and comparison videos and countless hours awake at night trying to figure this out I came to this card. The GTX 1060 would be (for my budget of $500) the best option. But there was another loop, do I get the 3gb version or the 6gb? Ugh! I thought this was over. So I made a prediction on how games would be running in the next couple years. In order to play on high to ultra settings I would need at least 3gb but if I go over that limit it will take from my PC's ram and slow down the performance dramatically. So the 6gb option was my best choice. Not saying all games would go over that 3gb limit but for personal peace of mind and being to push this card to the limit with out going over that limit was more possible with this card than the 3gb. So the card runs perfectly. I've never had any frame rate issues or anything like that. I was able to run Hawken (as seen in photo) on 3 screens on ultra settings without any latency issues or buffering or any other problem that could happen on your monitor. I haven't run any frame rate programs yet so I don't know the specific numbers but based on reviews on similar games by running Hawken on ultra settings I am likely getting between 70 to 80 fps on average. Now during heavy fire fights this will drop a little but but when not much is happening this will go up. But it all depends on the game itself. Every game will give you different readings for frames. But the average is between the high 50s to low 70s. But the lower you drop your settings the higher that will go up. As you can see from the photos space was a bit of an issue as well so I had to pick wisely in terms of card length. I could have gone with EVGA's 1060 with 2 fans which isn't much longer but I wasn't 100% sure it would fit. So this card after all the headaches and sleepless nights and hours spent looking online this is the best card for me. And if your are in a similar situation like me it will probably work for you. I hope this is helpful and have fun building your dream machines.

it exceeded any and all expectations when in my desktop computer..but it did not work in alienware's graphic amplifier .. turn out only founder editions are supported in that unit..

I bought it since I had an old GTX 650, so this upgrade really makes a difference.

This little card packs a punch that rivals that of the old GTX 980. EVGA has released a BIOS update for this card that allows it to operate at "0db" when idle which is a fantastic option for those that what silence when not playing games.

A slight faster than the Gtx 980. Comes with sli connector but has no sli support which just made me laugh. I get a steady 120fps is Cod Blops III, where with my gtx 960 I would get 55fps with some settings turned down. Dishonored and Diablo III also get a steady 120fps. Only con is that the fan does not have a 0db feature where the fan does not kick on until a certain load is put on it. Fan is still quite though. I purchased the card and saved around $25 so I payed $225 for it which was icing on the cake.

Runs Witcher 3 (without hairworks) , Shadows of mordor, Doom at ultra 1080p with straight 60 fps. Cant hear the fan at all. Very compact. Love it.
