evolve is a great game when everyone is able to communicate. the lone wolf will drag the whole team down.

my son and I love playing Evolve! DLC content is a mess but other than that I've enjoyed this purchase!

4v1 game play against bots or others online. I'm loving this game. Would recommend reading reviews from IGN or Game Informer. Ignore user reviews because most are mad about the DLC. The current DLC is skins only. Just get in and enjoy playing as one of four classes of hunters or the monster. Every game is different. Again, read reputable reviews for details.

Couple of misconceptions that have somehow become regarded as conventional wisdom: the game's not "dead," even if the online population is lower than it once was, and the DLC is not "pay-to-win" - almost all of the DLC is purely cosmetic, and not purchasing new hunters and monsters (none of which are available yet, anyway) still allows you to play with/against players that own it. Evolve isn't a multiplayer shooter with a low point of entry like the Call of Duty series. You'll have to both learn how the different hunters operate and interact with the different monsters, and actually learn how to work with your team/against one, depending on which role you're playing. Consequentially, it should be no surprise that playing without a proper team that you're communicating with is often a frustrating experience. This, in turn, leads to the game's population dwindling after the game's launch. Whether or not you'll enjoy the game depends a lot on your circumstances. If you play multiplayer games with the intent of improving through experience and you can find people with the same objective to team up with, you'll find lots to like. If you play very casually without a party, you're liable to end up complaining that the game doesn't have enough "content."

I picked it up on sale for $10. I do feel let down given the hype behind this game. Commercials and many reviewers definitely made it seem like Evolve would be amazing but that's not really the case. However, the game is remarkably better with friends. It's been out a while and many have moved on so finding players now is a chore.

Great graphics, solid gameplay, and a cool way to explore well designed maps as a monster or hunter.

i have only played the training a few times and some off line battles so this is no way a full review. Its a fun game with a very niche style of play. A huge fan of the dev and L4D series ive been anticipating this game but my initial feeling is it did not live up to the hype. Thats maybe my fault tho. More time playing co op is needed but i see this like titanfall, loved it and went hard for a good month but then it became stagnant.

Unique game. rather fun to play by yourself more fun to play with friends definitely worth getting.

This game is online only, so it's not for everyone. I had fun with it for a week and a half, but it started to get a little old. Even months after release there were still some issues connecting with my friends' parties. The DLC model for this game is a little ridiculous and pricey. I wouldn't pay more than $40 for the game.

The game is very intensely focused on online multiplayer, lots of fun while being the beast.

Fun if you have friends to play with since the game requires strategy and cooperation.
