Bought this to replace Amazon FIreTV and Sticks. Roku puts usability ahead of advertising, Amazon home screen is 95% ads and you now have to press down to get past ads to apps, and often a second layer down to get to app of choice, Where Roku puts you right at the apps by default with easy 2 dimensional navigation to the app. Very little and unobtrusive ads. The remote button layout is very well thought out.

Wow. This unit just installs easily and works great. Bonus is that it includes Roku channel with lots of free content. The. Aim menu can include antenna feed, and your blurqy player or you can have it start on cable or tv feed. Roku is currently the largest player and continue to update and include almost every APP. Double bonus voice remote and remote controls most TVs. Especially good for seniors.

Streaming player was easy to install and works as advertised. Easy to use with lots of apps available. Also controls TV volume and On/Off. Excellent picture quality.

I was looking for a way to save money so I disconnected my cable service for the Roku. There are so many different free ways to watch TV and movies. Then if you want a certain show you can also sign up for paid subscriptions as well. It comes with a TV remote and a box that connects to the TV by wifi. Once you logged into your wifi and go through the setup process you are ready to start streaming. Per the warning labels do not keep it in an enclosed area or it may overheat. It is best to keep it out in the open so mines is currently sitting beside my TV.

Have only used Apple TV, but wanted to try the Roku for a bedroom. Very easy to set up and use. So far, the user interface is snappy, the picture is excellent, and the remote easy to use. Very Nice...

We have a smart TV that is six years old. Brand new, in my mind. But it’s not as smart as it used to be and some apps were not working. For just a few dollars, we added the Roku to our TV and now it is brilliant! We can also take it in our camper and it turns that very dumb TV into a genius. An excellent bargain for us.

The device works perfectly, much smoother than my old model fire stick, and the buying experience was very easy. Love the bonuses you get when you buy from Best Buy as well! Same product, same price, but a significantly greater value with the add ons!!! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new streaming stick and you want fast, easy, and highly customizable.

Easy setup, opens channel apps fast, great streaming! This Roku replaced a much older Roku device and the improvements are great! One remote to control device and TV. Using a TV provider, such as Fubo, there are so many channel apps to load and stream, live TV included, there’s no need for cable tv. No tv provider? Great options for Live TV on the Roku Channel!

Great media streaming device. Glad I bought it, only $40. Smooth streaming, no blips, pauses, nor syncing problems. Easy setup. I only spent some time modifying sound and video to my liking. I get 100 mbps downloads. I view programs on my Sony OLED 4K UHD . It has Google TV. I tried streaming programs using my TV Wi-Fi but got frequent pauses and syncing problems. I was thinking about upgrading my Frontier speed to 500 mbps. Glad I didn’t, saved $50/mo. I’m very happy about my purchase.

I had bought the 4k stick, but it somehow wasn't compatible with my tv using the HDMI eARC channel to connect the TV to my receiver. This device is pretty comparable -- the only difference is that the stick came with an RF remote, which didn't require line-of-sight, like the IR remote that comes with the express. Transmits in 4k and has a stronger processor than the non-4k Express it replaced. Plus the remote has a microphone, so you can open apps, turn on/off closed captioning, etc. by voice. Great deal at $27. For the record, Best Buy is a lousy retailer. Service is slow, online ordering is a hassle -- especially if you're trying to get something price-matched (which, in the end, they couldn't do), and order pick-up was totally dysfunctional. And managers are rude if you have the least bit of concern about their service. The rating is purely for the product, not for Best Buy as seller.

Finally a streaming stick that doesn't overheat. Easy setup, but I would like a keyboard interface just for setup - entering email addresses and passwords is time consuming

I needed to buy this because my brand-new Samsung OLED TV did not fully support the Paramount+ app. The setup was easy and painless. I wish you could connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the unit or configure the unit via a web interface; it is difficult to scroll up/down left/right to enter your email and password if it uses complex symbols. Other than that it works great and the picture quality is good at true 4k. The included HMDI cable is extremely short though, I had to use a store-bought one because the USB port and HDMI ports are on the back of the TV (most TVs are that way) and they should give you an HDMI cable that is at least 5 feet so you can have the unit face you. That way the remote will work correctly.

I’m very satisfied with this TV box. It works fast, streams content in great quality, and the interface is simple and easy to use. The setup took just a few minutes, and all the apps run smoothly without delays. It’s a great way to turn any TV into a smart, user-friendly entertainment center. Definitely a great purchase — reliable, convenient, and worth the money!

I updated my Roku streamer with this one & loved it so much I bought a second one for a second TV. My all time favorite thing about it is that I can turn on my TV and adjust the volume with this remote instead of needing two remotes to control my TV. I also like the volume buttons and the mute button on the side, so I don’t have to turn on a light to try and find those buttons like I did with other remotes. It’s a simple, easy to use streamer remote that was very easy to connect ro my TV.
