The network module on our smart TV died and this gave us almost all the smarts back for very little. I wish it had bluetooth on it, though. And the hdmi connection does only 30Hz with 4k HDR, so the Roku does not recommend recommend using HDR. I haven't noticed the difference.

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although my son has basic cable on his (non-smart) tv, we purchased the Roku Express 4K+ (2021) specifically for it's ability to mirror cast his iPhone SE to his tv, and it works like a charm. It works through your wi-fi, and so also provides an economical alternative if you don't have cable. Setup is pretty easy. Roku has its' own channels with lots of free movies and tv series. You can also use the device to receive individual channel subscriptions you pay for. The voice search feature on the remote is a definite plus and works well.
