Roku is all my family uses now. We tried the fire stick and the one we had was so buggy and had trouble staying connected to my internet after having it for a while. This one is still super responsive and my family likes to navigate the screen. We have an Apple TV and obviously for the product quality and price it’s overall better however I actually hate the remote/clicker on the Apple TV. It’s so sensitive it clicks whenever I go to put it down.

We had the very first Roku and decided it was time to update so we could get more 4K content. Decided on this when it went on Black Friday sale. And since our LG TV just updated its app screen and it’s terrible, we are now only using this Roku. The reason I dropped one star is because sometimes the apps open a bit slower than normal and the Prime app looks bad on it sometimes….not the movies or shows picked….just the app itself. Very grainy looking for things to watch. Other than that, it’s an easy set up. Couldn’t use the very short HDMI cable that it came with on our 75” TV….had to use a long HDMI to reach the port. No issues otherwise.

Purchased this to replace a Roku stick that was overheating due to the placement of our TV. This unit works well, setup was easy. Very small footprint so you don't really notice it.

I love that this device is small and easy to set up. The Roku menu is easy to navigate and customize. Streaming is fantastic. Roku even gives helpful tips on how to watch the Olympics!

Purchased for a grandparent! Perfect, easy to use and no further costs! They very much appreciated the gift and love watching Roku!

This is a Roku so you know how this works. But what is really great is it's ability to work with 4k enabled displays. I am using an Optoma GT1080HDR, which is 4k capable. This Roku allows the Optoma use it's capabilities in processing 4k content to calibrate the projector and optimize the image. I had a previous Roku Express and the difference in image was dramatic. The washed out colors and image were GONE! The rich, deep, sharp image you normally associate with 4k was on full display. It was great that the cables included made helped make this possible as well. So why the 4 stars and not 5? Because this is built with a USB power cable, not USB-C. In this day and age, a directional connector like that is not acceptable. When installing on an already mounted projector it was difficult to get the connector to insert which is ridiculous. Roku can and should do better. And, no matter what I did, I could not get Airplay to work. It did recognize and configure Homekit but the Airplay did not work at all. And I was using a brand new Ipad Air! Not acceptable. Otherwise, this is a great product but know that these are issues I experienced.

Love Roku in general. Very easy to use and our go-to for streaming. These are great to use when you don't have a direct wired connection for internet.

Got this product for my elderly mother. She was not able to use the firestick or google tv remote I got her. The Roku remote had larger buttons which was much easier for her to see and use. Also, the user interface had larger box-like icons which was easier to move around and navigate. I was never really a fan of Roku because they use to be slow and clunky…but with the latest models, the processor and speed are much better than previous versions. I would recommend this model (especially for the older people).

I was delighted to discover this roku does not have to be in the same room to link with the remote! The pictures from all of my apps are excellent.

I've been glad I got this! Both the software and the remote are much easier to use than the stuff that came with my tv. No question in my mind about that. I was pushed to get the stick version, but for the location of my tv, I've had no issue with this version and the IR. I got the basic set up and connection to the tv without any difficulty. However, the volume and on/off weren't working. A BestBuy person told me to return it. I looked online and couldn't find anything. I got on Roku chat and they were very helpful with good directions. Not sure if this is normal or not, but now it's all fine! I'm happy.

This is the 4th Roku that I have purchased for older TVs that we use throughout the house. - Extremely easy to setup - Stream through the same apps no matter where we are in the house - Works with pretty much any TV making older, non-smart TVs stream seamlessly over WiFi If you want to stretch out the life of those older TVs and still get all of your streaming services, this is the way to go.

I'm 81 and I finally purchased a Roku unit. Sales personnel at Best Buy were exceptionally helpful in selection and answering questions. It was easy to install with a little help from my son and we were so impressed with the performance that we purchased two additional units for other locations. I am so impressed with the help we get from Best Buy.

Anything Roku is great. This super fast device is amazing for the price. Even though my tv's aren't 'smart', this 4k device makes the viewing that much better. What a bargain.
