Great game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to start by saying I'm a little bias because I love the Fallout series. This Fallout has had drastic changes to its combat, making it much better. The crafting system is awesome and makes the combat even better. The story is great. More of a sci-fi story than the last. The world is beautiful and varied. My only problem with the game is the dialogue. It's missing Fallout 3's interesting and sometimes insane responses. This game is definitely worth the price considering I've sunk 60+ hours and I've barely made a dent in the main story.

Hey.. do you have a bobypin i could borrow
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Man you already Know this game is amazing. If you have played any of the previous fallout games this one is the King of the series. You get a dog what?!/ That's siiiick the world is so huge its hard to do a mission because you are always finding something else to explore. The graphics are stellar and you to top it off you can build your own houses and décor them with items found in the game. Let me say that again you can build your own house run electricity and have turrets to protect it.. So you need to stop ready this and go play this game, trust me its way better than this rinky dinky review.. now excuse me im going to go look for some bobby pins

GET THIS GAME WHY ARE YOU EVEN READING THIS?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seriously, it's Fallout, you can't go wrong. Great game, the new workshop and settlement features are additional hours of entertainment. Like any huge game there are a few glitches, but so far I have not encountered anything that impedes gameplay. Autosave and quicksave features are handy. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DOWNLOAD THE FREE PIP BOY APP FOR IOS OR ANDROID AND YOU CAN MAKE YOUR PHONE OR TABLET YOUR PIP-BOY! It's awesome. Why are you still reading this, buy that game now!

Amazing game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a hardcore Fallout fan since the first Fallout game and I have to say this game doesn't disappoint, many try to compare the game to RPG games our there but this stands on its own and everything from the customization of your character's physical and abilities feature to the vast exploration of the post-apocalyptic Boston full of detailed story lines it's bound to have you glued to your seat for multiple hours at a time. Great game for those ready for an adventure!

would get a 5 if the bugs wasn't so bad should
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is Fallout 4 a perfect game? Absolutely not. Is it fun? Definitely. Things I like: +The character customization is easy to use and ensures you can't make a truly disgusting character. +The voice overs are extremely well done. I like not reading the dialogue (note: you can turn on subtitles still) and just skipping ahead; the main character does a fantastic job and so do most supporting characters. +Looking into containers can be done in real time. You can still enter the container to loot all, but everything can be taken without going into another menu. +Weapons and armor can be modified. Most modifications will change the appearance. The modifications have significant impact. +During conversations, you can move around. By interacting again, you'll go back into the cinematic mode. +Power armor. You feel POWERFUL in that piece of equipment. They don't restrict it to "heavy" armor experts anymore ensuring everyone can use it. It's more like a vehicle than an armor. +Building settlements is fun. I've spent way too much time already. +Legendary enemies. They keep you on your toes and will offer some fantastic rewards. +Radiation Storms. Foggy, green, and lightning. +Perk system. It replaces the old skill system and allows for a wide range of customization and play styles. While not as clean as Skyrim's to navigate, I love the update here. Things I don't like: -Stiff facial animations, wooden character movement. The lips will move but the face remains stiff, creating awkward looking dialogue cinematics. -speaking of that The dialog options suck. You always got four choices and one of them is 'sarcastic'. Every so often a dialog option in yellow will show up and if you got a high enough charisma, there's a cha-ching sound and you get some experience. I don't get the sense that dialog actually really matters and talking to people is a drag and is not a relaxing break in the action that I hoped it'd be. I don't think I like the third person perspective. I think it worked for Mass Effect and the older Fallout games because in that game you really need to lose yourself in the story in order to enjoy it and if you skip all the dialog stuff. I think Fallout 4 should have either gone the DA route or done away with the third person cutaways altogether because they're clunky and they seem kinda buggy at times. And they're uninteresting for the most part, but the voice acting is good. And the overall plot of trying to find your kidnapped son doesn't appeal to me, though as a sandbox game, you can kinda overlook it. I didn't finish the game, so perhaps the story becomes better later on. -Dated graphics. Some of the textures are amazing. I've ran into some really low resolution (some look straight out of Xbox/Playstation 2 generation). I've also run into an LOD (level of detail) distance rendering bug at some quarry - the textures didn't switch over and it looked like Minecraft... it also created a veneer over the actual terrain causing me to fall through the textures and have difficulty navigating. -Companions are very powerful, even on the harder settings. I play on the harder settings and I can sit back and let my companions take over 90% of fights. The only times I need to help is if there is a legendary or particularly strong enemy. -The difficulty of combat situations span a huge gulf. It can go from a pathetically easy encounter to nearly impossible one minutes later. -Bugs, bugs, bugs. I had high hopes that after 6 years they would have ironed out more of the basic, common bugs. Unfortunately I was wrong.

Different But Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.1st to start out, the game is fairly different compared to past Fallout games. but it's still an entertaining game. Had tons of fun with the combat and character design, the story is meh but the world makes up for it, and for once all items in the game have some use. That last part about items is probably the games best and worst feature, at some point you'll have to sift through hundreds of items which may or may not be to your liking. If you can get through that, you have a wonderful time ahead of you. Now I'm gonna end this review cause I want to play more of the game. P.S. Game is kind of glitchy, save often to load up the game in case of a glitch.

Game of the year IMO
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Incredible game with great depth. I am hooked! Graphics look nice gunplay is improved. Above all it is a deep open world game that you will lose countless hours playing. I like games I can get my money worth and this has already passed what other games would offer in terms of hours before completing, yet I have not even scratched the surface. Get this game!!!

Great Evolution of Fallout Franchise
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fallout 4 is exactly what was needed for the next installment of the Fallout Franchise. Many of the limiting mechanics were eliminated due to the power of the PS4, making a smooth interface throughout all gameplay. This allows inexperienced Fallout players to engage as a first-person shooter or the experienced Fallout player to engage the VATS system. (The PipBoy is much easier to navigate through, yet retains its comical appeal.) The addition of Settlement creation/management creates a pleasant depth to the game that allows interested players hours of fun and uninterested players the ability to bypass. The story line is a refreshing and well thought-out perspective and adds to the Fallout canon nicely. Easy to understand S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute and Perk system that allows the player to tailor their character to the type of game they desire to play (allowing for multiple replays). The only drawbacks are limited in-game tutorials for beginning players. A lot of trial-and-error play that can be frustrating at times. Very few but inconvenient glitches (I failed a mission because a creature fell off a cliff and disappeared. I had to restart a 30-min segment because the QuickSave feature only saved at the entrance to the area). All in all, great game, hours of fun. Suggested for Adventure gamers. First person shooters will enjoy the variety of weapons and creatures. Role-playing gamers will enjoy the in-depth character creation, armor/power armor modifications, and settlement management. - TGC

The best game EVER.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've played The Witcher, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Skyrim, etc. This game tops them ALL. It is so deep of a game that no one will play it exactly the same. The characters have great depth and the story flows from many angles creating a seamless journey through the Boston Wasteland. Listen, just buy this game if you're on the fence about it. True entertainment value with this title here. There are hundreds of hours of intriguing gameplay.

One of the best games in the past 5 years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing game, it has excelled on everything from fallout 3, which was an amazing game, fallout 4 has 100's of hours of gameplay, 100's of missions, 100's of places to discover and dozens on top of dozens of weapons and armor, the gunplay is the biggest improvement from fallout 3, it is an awesome shooter game, if you love shooters, love open world games, love looting, or tired of those 10hr story campaigns, you should get this game!

Be prepared to set aside many hours to enjoy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The game is a lot of fun. Graphics are quite good, Story is interesting, and there is a lot to do. Be prepared to set aside a good chunk of time to explore and discover, as there is a LOT out there. it is not a game you can just pick up for 15-20 minutes. the depth of the world is quite significant compared to games i am used to playing. Syncing of mouths to voices could be better, but it isnt too annoying once you get used to it.

A Journey back into the Wasteland
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After years of waiting and anticipation, the moment is finally upon us. grab your trusty pistol, a snack or two for your dog, and set out for the wasteland and uncover a wonderfully crafted story and world where all of your actions have repercussions and you choose your own story and where you go. With new game play elements, and the ability to create your own settlements, Fallout 4 sets the bar high and doesn't come back down.

Pretty Fun for Beginner to Fallout Series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm new to Fallout series but Fallout 4 looked pretty sick since it was revealed. Copped it and very glad I did. Have not been able to log that many hours into it yet but the graphics are amazing and you really get the sense of the vastness of the open world. Heard dialogue and conversation options are a little weaker when compared to its predecessors. Gameplay is fun and getting a power armor suit is the best. Melee-ing is somewhat slow to me compared to FPS games like CoD and like. The soundtrack is pretty good from what I've heard so far. Can't wait to really get into the settlements and crafting portions of the game.

What we've been waiting for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're a Fallout fan, this one's a no-brainer. If you have yet to test the waters of the Fallout universe, this is as good a place to start as any. While Fallout 4 scores an 8.5/10 as a first person shooter, it scores an 11/10 in almost every other area. Great story, decent graphics (made up for by the size of the world and amount of exploration to be done), and a fantastically immersive game make this a must-buy.

Not even close to more of the same from Bethesda!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you love open-world sandbox games, then you already know and own fallout 4 and my review won't persuade you to buy this. If you've never tried a massive open-world sandbox game, then there is no time like the present to start playing fallout 4. It's hard to describe just how much is in this game without writing a novel that rivals War and Peace. If brevity is the soul of wit, then I'll try and be as witty has possible here. Character customization is practically infinite. There is no level cap, so there is no need to worry about what type of play style you want your character to be. Just keep leveling up and get some different perks and change your style of play from a bare-knuckled brawler to a sniper. The replay value is very high as you always have the option to play as a relatively good character or a relatively bad character. The game keeps track of quests, so even if you don't play very often there's no need to worry about forgetting where you left off or what your next objective should be. My only complaint is the music in the game. They need to add about 10,000 songs. I think it takes the average person about 20 times listening to a song before they're bored or tired of it. Trust me, you will listen to the songs in this game way more than 20 times each. Yes, there's an option to turn the radio off in the game, but sometimes there are quests that get added by listening to the radio so there's a chance you'll miss out on those if it's not on. You won't regret this purchase. Enjoy!

Not worth "all" the hype... But still good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After watching the internet break over the announcement of the game, I feel like more time could have been taken to polish the game. Obviously due to the massive scale of the game, there are going to be bugs, and I have run into quite a few. Luckily they will more than likely be fixed when future patches are released. The game also makes me a little dizzy, which is kind of irritating for me because I have been a gamer for over 25 years. However gameplay in moderation is fun, and will take a very long time to complete everything. So I guess I could say that I got plenty of game for the money.

Game of the Year!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this game. A great story filled with hours and hours of side missions. I have put in over 25 hours at this point, and I haven't gotten bored once yet. Fallout 3 was amazing, but they figured out a way to make everything even more well polished in Fallout 4. You can wander a huge open world discovering new locations, and missions. Almost all my free time right now goes to this game.

The game is amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fallout 4 could be the only game you buy for the next six months, and you might never get bored. It’s everything that Fallout fans were hoping for. When it comes to game releases in 2015, the best was truly saved for last. Exploration feels rewarding and the game actually makes you want to take the time to look through everything. Excited to see how the story goes and what else there is to explore
