The picture quality is just astounding, better then I thought for an anime movie released on bluray from the 90's. I'm still looking at it and still can't believe this looks so clean. Sound quality is still stereo but I'm just happy this was released on bluray finally after all these years. Picture size is a awesome 16:9 and not a 4:3 box so for those of us with big flat screen tv's, the whole screen is filled in perfect picture quality without any black lines that you get if it were 4:3 aspect ratio. As far as extras, English and Japanese audio stereo with English and Japanese subtitles; original theatrical trailers and remastered theatrical trailers; & concept art gallery. This is a must buy for any Fatal Fury fan especially for the lowest price out their from Best Buy, everywhere else is asking a lot more. I sure hope Fatal Fury 1 & 2 are released on bluray in the future.

Used to play the video game and the movies are good. The intro title is in Japanese but the movie is still the same. Had the first release on dvd and lost it. Cheap alternative than buying that one on Amazon.

"A chance encounter with a girl named Sulia sets Terry Bogard in a race to prevent the reincarnation of a god! Sulia's brother Laocorn is out to collect the six shards of the Armor of Mars, which would grant him untold power if it were completed. With the power of the armor, Laocorn could turn back the tides of history and take revenge, conquering all that stands in his way. Already possessing three pieces of the armor, Sulia's brother is way ahead of Terry, and what's more, he'll have to go through Laocorn's minions, each powerful in their own right! Will he be able to defeat Laocorn and stop the rebirth of the god of war?"
Ahhhh! It's been so long since I last saw this movie! I remember renting the VHS tape of this from Block Buster. Last month marked its 20th anniversary! This release has finally made the movie into a nice, wide-screen format instead of the 4:3 aspect ratio. There's not much to add to the story that the description doesn't as it's pretty straight forward. Terry, Joe, Andy, and Mai all set off with Sulia to try to thwart her brother's gathering of the armor of Mars. The fights are all pretty brief except for the final one against Laocorn/Mars.
The animation is top-notch as you would expect from a movie for one of the biggest fighting games of the time. Solid backgrounds, cool special moves, and great looking fight sequences. As an added bonus, you even get a bit of T&A from Mai. Speaking of Mai, I noticed that the animation for her faces seemed to distort pretty often. They got the body looking great, but her face wasn't drawn the same every time. I probably should have ordered the OVAs as well, but I wasn't expecting these to be rereleased until I saw them online last week! If you love a good fighting anime, I definitely recommend this one!
