The only redeeming thing about this movie is the acting by Dakota Johnson. Otherwise the scenes are softand bland. Chicks will love it because it reinforces the on going fallacy that men can't love and only want one thing...albeit deviant with Grey......don't waste your money on this movie hyped by the media.

Bought for the wife who was big on the books. Like nearly all movies, the book was better. We both actually fell asleep in the middle of the movie first time we tried watching it. Just more or less "touched" on a few points in the book. Save your money, just rent at redbox for a buck or watch on Netflix....

I enjoyed the movie. Since reading the books, I was looking forward to the movies and seeing how the cast, location selection, props and style was chosen.

Not everything about the movie is bad, Johnson was believable in a few scenes. As far as story goes, there was not much beyond "hey, the hot guy likes the underappreciated hot girl" bit, but movies are fantasy, right? I found my least favorite part of the film was the soundtrack... It's close to atrocious.

Thought this would just be for girls. And boy was I wrong!! Role reversal with a touch womens free will and as always a right to know and change of mind!!
