Such a great game. The best feature is of you want to buy the other game (conquest) you can pay $20 in-game for a half off purchase. Highly recommended

Relaxing game, just right in difficulty for most. I will recommend you have a male avatar to marry any of the female characters, they are all better!

Fire Emblem Awakening (the game in the Fire Emblem series just before this one) is my all-time favorite video game. I have replayed it a ridiculous number of times. I love everything about it- the plot, the mechanics, the characters. So I was really excited when the sequels came out. I literally made a stop on my way to checking myself in to the ER to buy this game. The mechanics are still fantastic (they made a lot of nice improvements from Awakening as well), but I was extremely disappointed in the plot. It's not bad, it's just not what I would expect from a Fire Emblem game. I get the feeling that to get the full plot, you have to play Birthright, Conquest, and Revelations. That's fine with me, but I wish they had let you know that in advance. I was expecting three full games that overlapped in some ways, but instead I feel like it will end up being three parts of the same game (at least in terms of the story).

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright is an excellent turn-based strategy game with high production values (the cutscenes are fully animated in 3D). Be aware that there are two versions of FE Fates. Your character must choose between the family of blood relation or the family he or she (you choose the character's gender when you start the game) was raised with. Nintendo has a promotion in which you can buy Conquest as DLC for $20 instead of full price. I am glad I took advantage of this offer as I definitely want to see the story from the other side.

Whether you want to get into the 'Fire Emblem' series or you are a seasoned veteran gamer, 'Fates: Birthright' is a must buy for 3DS owners. The classic tactical format updated and improved, with the addition of new characters, new story, and new animations. Will probably enjoy 100s of hours playing this and the sibling games (Conquest and Awakening).

This is a great brand new Fire Emblem game. The game if one half of the Fire Emblem Fates story. Fire Emblem Birthright is the good player side of the story. It is a little easier than Fire Emblem Conquest and is were players new to the series should start. Buy both versions as they are very different games in order to experience the entire story.

Amazing RPG game. So much fun and great graphics. It's a two part game. So you have to get the other fire emblem game to really enjoy it.

Fire Emblem is one of my favorite Nintendo franchises and I was so happy when I heard that the new games were going to be available really soon.
I grabbed both of the versions and I'm really happy with the game play and story of them, I would totally recommend people to play these two games as well as the previous one which is really good!

This is a fun, challenging game of typical FE length with some average replayability due to the variety of marriages available to you.

Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright is a fun strategy RPG, that has a good story, and good characters. I was worried that I wouldn't understand the gameplay mechanics since I had never played a Fire Emblem game before, however this was not the case at all.

I have never played Fire Emblem before this game and was I in for a treat. It is very welcoming to beginners in contrast to its counterpart, Conquest. The battle system requires careful thinking and strategies but very rewarding. Great story and characters, very engaging gameplay. Must buy for 3DS owners, especially fire emblem fans.

After being obsessed with Fire Emblem Awakening, I've waited patiently for the next entry in the series and it is finally here. For those that don't know which version to choose, I recommend starting with Birthright. It is more similar to Awakening and focuses on character pairing from the last game. Conquest is for those Fire Emblem veterans who like to be punished and felt like Awakening was too easy. But don't just finish Birthright to get your fix. Buy all three games for the entire experience.

I originally only played fire emblem awakening before fire emblem fates. Both those games are outstanding to say the least, from the interesting story, to the well crafted gameplay, fates expands upon an already great series. I recommend this game to anyone who has played pervious fire emblem games or even newcomers to the series.

Really fun and easy to get into. Best game to start at and you can download the other two through the built in DLC store.
