I really liked the Fire Emblem awakening game. I could not wait for this one or Birthright to come out. It was worth the wait

This has the same game play from the fire emblem awakening. The story is interesting. Conquest is a little bit harder than Birthright, so if you want a challenge then get Conquest.

I mentioned that Birthright was rewarding, but conquest is a different beast. You really will have to balance quick thinking and tactical decision making with the harder levels of this game. While birthright had more emotional weight to the story, conquest will leave you feeling like a true military genius when you're through with it. Can't wait to see how both of these games tie into revelations

This game is another great one for the Fire Emblem series. I started here and noticed my friend on Birthright advancing further, faster. Conquest is much more challenging and without extra battles to level players it is definitely a strategies try again method. Can't wait to finish!

I was disappointed that I could not get a Special Edition but nevertheless I still got the game and am thoroughly enjoying it. Will play for hours and hours.

Fire Emblem Fates is more of the great turn-based strategy Fire Emblem. This time with base building and a new and interesting story.
Take note that, if you buy this version of Fire Emblem Fates, it is best to not get the other version(Birthright) for you will not be able to transfer any bonus content to the other cartridge. Better get Birthright as a DLC for Conquest.

This is a great game. Probably not a good first for those who have never played fire emblem. I would recommend playing birthright first. I loved it though!

The story, graphics, anime cut scenes, soundtrack, choices alters experience. It's all good, just like Birthright. This version is darker and you have to be more resourceful. The difficulty is a slight higher. This one makes you think more strategically in battles. I would recommend Birthright over Conquest. Conquest is for a skilled rpg veteran and not more suitable for all ages.

I'm a Fire Emblem series fan. I usually play for the turn based gameplay, but I enjoyed most of the story and character conversations as well. Definitely challenging and you will lose some characters along the way when playing with perma death unless you are a pro. Wouldn't recommend for casual players but definitely for strategy veterans or those up for a challenge.

They improved some of the minor flaws from Awakening and kept all of the good parts. Definitely a game I would recommend for any adult 3DS owner.

Conquest seems like the hardest game out of the series. You have to use more strategy and don't get the chance to grind. No durability on weapons.

I have enjoyed the Fire Emblem games since they began and this one is no different. New classes, abilities, and an involved multi sided story. The only fault is the lack of non-story fights to help with leveling/wealth unless you purchase the DLC.

This has got to be one of my favorite games I have EVER played. The story is very dark, as you choose to side with the dark side, but bring down the evil tyranny from within. This game will pull at your heart strings but you'll love it. I suggest phoenix mode for inexperienced people. It's very very hard but oh so satisfying.

This game is not an easy one. Even on the easiest level it can make you think and sit on a level for a long time. The feature to lose your characters permanently when they die makes this game all the more breath taking. You get sucked in with the story and trying to keep everyone alive. It truly is a great experience.

Classic Fire Emblem fans will enjoy the challenge of Conquest. Strategy matters, and you're punished for reckless moves and rewarded for thinking ahead and observing enemy unit placement, equipment, and skills. The story suffers from a lot of missed opportunities, such as forgoing a potentially tragic/sympathetic villain with a one-dimensional Saturday morning cartoon. It also felt incomplete at the end, like I have to buy the other games in order to get one "full" game.
While I was disappointed by the story, I liked most of the ally characters more than Birthright's. The challenge is great, and there's a lot of replay value in trying out different teams or tackling the higher difficulty settings. All in all, a solid Fire Emblem game.

As you may know, the series gets better and better. Nintendo cares about quality, and the game is 100% a must have.
