Customers highly value the excellent gameplay and storyline in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, frequently comparing it favorably to the Yakuza series. The game's compelling story and intense, stylized combat are also praised, along with the inclusion of various side activities. While some found the dialogue to be somewhat lacking, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.

This takes a lot from the Yakuza games but amps up the violence and wackiness. It’s a good use of the source material and plays well. A lot of fun.

This game is everything I ever wanted in a Fist of the North Star video game. The game captures every part of the anime-from the ridiculous enemies, the crazy finishers, and the gory violence.
After 15 hours of this game, I can say that I enjoyed most of it. The substories are kind of depressing but it makes sense since we're living in a post apocalyptic world. The fighting is so ridiculously funny, it truly shows how powerful Kenshiro is. Although the finishers can get repetitive, it's still cool to see punks explode by the 100 hundred punch rush or the spine breaker. The voice acting is really good in both Japanese and English (surprisingly!).
The only thing I do hate about the game is that it uses the old engine the older Yakuza games used. The free roam is just so clunky, that it feels like Yakuza from the PS3. The graphics aren't amazing but it stays true to the anime in which it makes sense that every guy in this game is a just a tower of muscles on top of muscles. Although it wouldn't hurt to make the game look prettier because sometimes it looks like something out of 2013.
Overall, I would recommend this game for any Yakuza and FotNS fans. But if you're still finishing up Yakuza then finish that first before starting this because there is a lot to do. Also it comes with a cool reversible cover which I prefer to use.

I'll say this right off top:
In order to fully enjoy and be entertained by this game, you need to, foremost, be a fan of the Fist of the North Star franchise fan.
Alternately, you could enjoy this game if you are a fan of the Yakuza games.
And, lastly but most optimally, a fan of both franchises.
If you only fall under one of the first 2, your feelings about this title may vary...
FotNS fans will enjoy a new, semi-open world, mission influenced beat'em up featuring the post apocalyptic savior that they've known for the past 30+ years in an original story not used from the manga (but pays respects and includes homages to the various characters and their plotlines). On Kenshiro's journey to save his lost bae, the player will shred literally hundreds of thousands of lowlifes into a bloody pulp. And, in between it all, drive around the desert finding loot, helping old ladies across the street, cooking BBQ for the child culinary prodigy, and many more ludicrous, tongue in cheek missions that will have veteran fans of the series cracking up and shaking their heads.
As for fans of Sega's Yakuza franchise: "It features similar gameplay mechanics and systems to Sega's Yakuza series."
Needless to say, fans of BOTH franchises will be in heaven over this release, but the number of those individuals will be extremely limited in N.America. Being an avid fan of just FotNS should suffice.

This game was definitely a game that wasn't on the radar but once you get into the story and characters you see what makes this game a masterpiece, from its unique fighting style to the crazy worlds and missions. I highly recommend this game to anybody that is a fan of Fist of the North Star or who just want to get lost in a good game!

If you like Yakuza games, Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise is right up your alley! It borrows the same engine used in Yakuza 0, so that means no Dragon Engine like the modern Yakuza games, BUT you do get 60 FPS instead of 30 FPS. I never watched the anime of Fist of the North Star, but I still able to enjoy this game very much.

If you like the Yakuza series, this is right up your alley. Its also reminded me of God hand for the ps2. Controls great, has some funny moments and the fighting is just like the anime. You hit the weak points, heads explode. Its a hidden gem, there's not much talk about the game. Its so underated, yet its awesome. Go buy it.

If you have played any of the recent Yakuza games you basically know what you are getting into. Beyond that the FotNS skin is lots of goofy over the top fun. It manages to keep you pretty engaged and there is lots to do. Most will have put quite a few hours into this before they are done, and I think that is the mark of a good game.

This is the Hokuto no Ken game that we have been waiting for in the U.S. If you are a fan of Fist of the North Star than you owe it to yourself and Sega to buy this game, and show your support. This is better than the musou games, and way better than the hack jobs of Last Battle and Black Belt on the old Sega systems.

The setting of FOTNS is wonderfully adapted to the Yakuza style of game, though not without some sacrifices. Unlike the main Yakuza games it takes a long time to unlock all of the minigames and activities, which is a big bummer. On the other side, the combat is incredible and probably my favorite out of the Yakuza series. Great game overall despite issues.

Really. This anime is all about one man’s love and his road to revenge paved with the beaten up dudes who have wronged him. Forget the Starbucks because there is more than enough jolt in this game to get your heart pumping!

Ive played various Fist of the Northstar games before, from meh to semi cool, this game is awesome. It combines the gameplay and elements from the Yakuza series and sets it in the world of Fist of the Northstar and it blends well. Fair warning, you will make many many heads explode.

Unlike the Japanese ver this game is uncensored which is excellent news. Game plays more like the Yaluza series. Play as Kiriyu Kazama from the Yakuza series is bonus content. Best Fist of the North Star game by far.
