My Son Says it’s Uncomfortable

My son likes my FitBit and Apple Watch. He wanted a watch that tracks his steps. I wanted something inexpensive that I could monitor. This product was an exciting find for us because it accomplishes all of those goals. We got the family account setup, my son loved seeing his steps. I could see them and send him texts. He could see the time like a watch. After about half hour he took it off though. It was too small for his wrist. We bought larger bands but he still can’t wear it for very long before he says it’s uncomfortable. I’m hoping he gets used to it so we set some fitness goals. I really like it and hope more kids wear them so it becomes a trend.

Very good and simple for kids. Counts steps and tracks sleep. Only issue is with the app. When trying to see sleep details, it crashes most of the time.

I bought both the blue and purple ones for my two girls respectively (because that's the only way to avoid a multi year war) I and they're pretty good but there are two issues that parents may wish to consider:
1. First my girls are very petite so this may not apply should you have a child that may be of a larger build. We have had the Ace for about a month now (i believe) and the girls have somewhat of a difficult time finding a comfortable fit where they don't notice it.
2. Possibly as a result of the first and this applies to the purple one only, it appeared to give my little one a bit of a rash. It reminds me of the days when Fitbit had a voluntary recall their adult sized bands. Now I'm not making a big deal of this because it only happened once but if you're a parent or guardian, it may be something to be aware of.
On a positive note, the kids who are generally active anyway are even more active now. If I could harness about 1/10 of that, I would get more done in a day than I do in a week! The best part is that the Ace has a waterproof design just in case, Overall great produce and I recommend getting one if you are on the fence.

My oldest son (12) had been asking me for a fitness watch for a long time. I wasn’t willing to spend a lot of money on something I wasn’t sure he would take care of and this watch did everything that we were looking for. He loves the watch and we are happy that he is challenging himself and getting outside more.

I gave it to a kid who likes it a lot and likes the challenge of watching step count and the fireworks when they hit 10K steps.
I like the privacy of not having it show up as available to friend in the open areas of Fitbit. They love watching their sleep record too count and the challenge of getting more steps and sleep.

This is a very simple and easy to use fitness tracker for kids. The app works well and is a nice balance of useful information for parents and reward system to keep the kids interested. Would be nice if they included an additional, larger band because the one it comes with is quite small even for a child.

I purchased this for my kid who doesn't yet have a smart phone. The pros are that it does exactly what it says it will, seems to be up to the abuse of a young boy, and although lite in features, does allow him to track steps and exercise and have a cool looking time-piece on.
The not-so-great aspects are that it's really designed for kids who have smartphones. You can configure it to run off of your smartphone, and assuming you already have your FitBit account, can toggle to your kids account so they can synch-up and see their results. That said, toggling accounts isn't intuitive so either get ready for a little frustration during the learning curve or get your little one a phone sooner than you planned.
All in all, as a FitBit user for the last five years, it's what you would expect from a no-frills fitness tracker.

Makes my daughter obsessed with taking steps daily. Best kids tracker although one of the priciest. At that price, should have included HR monitor. Overall a good purchase.

My daughter loves the device as it helps her stay active and makes the family competition to get the most steps fun. It also helps me track her sleep pattern in case it corresponds to her mood at times. However the band being too tight can break the skin if you don’t monitor your child’s band setting. Finding a good place to charge the watch can be challenging because the cord is very short. Then it gets forgotten to be worn because it is in a place where it is not visibly noticeable.

My son loves that he has his own Fitbit. It seems to count his steps accurately and the sleep tracking feature is spot on...very useful. The screen can be a little tricky to change from one piece of info to another and I can't seem to figure out how to stop it from alerting when I get a call on my phone and his Fitbit is in range...otherwise, a great product.

I got this for my daughter for Christmas. She kept saying she wanted a Fitbit . But she is small for her age and I didn't want to get her a bigger one. The only thing she doesn't like about it is that it doesn't read her heart rate. She is a runner and that helps out a lot. But maybe we can upgrade in a year. It is tough enough to take her wear and tear. She has been babying it so that probably helps.

My 10-year old loved this product. It came with two straps - she can use the second as she gets bigger. After less than a month, it stopped charging. It was past the Best Buy return date, so they referred me to Fitbit. After some troubleshooting did not resolve the problem, Fitbit is sending a new charging cable since the purchase date is within one year.

Bought the tracker for my granddaughter at Christmas. She was so excited and wears it to school. So far she has done a great job of keeping up with it and being able to charge it. She loves seeing how many steps she has taken in a day. I think it is a great fun way to get the kids moving! Purple color was nice.

Got this for my twelve year old, seems simple enough. Users her iPhone to sync and check her stats. FitBit has a great kids only mode so she can't add friends on her own and it limits it to family.

I bought this for my son for Christmas and it is awesome. It does exactly what you need for his age (9)
It has goals he can reach, gives him healthy eating habits suggestions. It has made him extra motivated and keeps him busy trying to get it. More outside time!

My 7 year old absolutely loves his Fitbit. He gets very excited every morning to see how many hours he has slept. He loves when his wrist buzzes as he reaches his daily goal and he loves the badges he receives on the app when he reaches his daily and weekly goals.
