I've been a fitbit user since they came out with the force, and upgraded after the recall. The blaze is my 3rd fitbit (previously owned the force and the surge) and I love it. I will say I am a little biased since I have been using this brand of tracker for a couple years and am comfortable using the gadget. Display is nice. Much better looking/less bulky than my surge. I like the idea of changing bands to fit my style of the day. Battery life is pretty good, at least a week even with tracking gym work outs 3-4x/wk. HR is pretty accurate. I like the addition of fitstar. It doesnt have GPS (can be paired/linked with your phones GPS), which isn't an issue for me, since I don't run outside. Would give 5 stars, if they had more clock faces, and also it tracks steps while I'm asleep. I either sleep walk or I move too much. Also, I would rate 5 stars if I didn't have to remove the fitbit from the band to charge. Not a huge deal, but not as convenient as simply plugging in.

I really like the graphics on this Fitbit. I've owned several previous generations of fitbits and this one gives me the led screen I've been waiting for. There are exercise routines built in and texts from your phone show up on here if you want them too, which is a bonus for me since I really like the call notifications that were introduced on previous models. This model doesn't have Gps built in, but if you are looking to buy this, then you probably own a smart phone so no need to have two devices with gps tracking if I'm bringing my phone on runs for music. This device also allows you to hit next track on your music via Bluetooth as well, but I still prefer doing it through my earbud. HR monitor seems pretty accurate to what my doctor was getting on my last appt. downfall is the clunky charging box that requires you to remove the led from the strap and put it in a box in order to charge. You have to make sure it's set correctly or it won't charge. Boo.

Easy to use has lots of great features .....battery life is great and will charge fast... you can use to monitor sleep most other watches take too long to charge or battery life is short so you can't use all the time for sleep monitoring...tracks steps but also tracks food if you want and has several exercises built in to track....even has programs to help u work out...love my fit bit

I purchased a Fitbit Charge HR for Christmas 2015, and while I liked something tracking my steps, I had a hard time using it as a watch ... the numbers were just so small. I never really used it as intended. Well, some co-workers showed me their new Blaze and I had to have one. That was April 5, 2016 ... and for whatever reason, the Blaze "motivated" me! On that date I was 216 lbs (5'9" male, 47 years old) ...and as of today May 21, 2016 I have hit 10,000 steps or quite a bit more every single day since and now I am 196 lbs ... with nothing other than making sure I hit at least 10,000 steps a day. The mobile and computer app for the Blaze has VERY much helped me log food eaten, stay hydrated and simply stay active! (I loved the Blaze so much I've also purchased the Fitbit scale ... and the two together have been the perfect "combo" for me to stay motivated). I was diagnosed as a borderline type 2 diabetic prior ... recently had my bloodwork done and my A1C went from 6.2 to 5.6! For me, the Blaze has been a life changer and it's only been roughly 2 months. My goal weight I've set for myself is 185 lbs and I have NO doubt that the Blaze will help me reach that goal. (Keep in mind, it is only a tool you MUST use in order to get results obviously). This has been one of my best purchases ever. There is something about hitting your goal steps, feeling the Blaze vibrate and the screen light up with colors that makes you feel GOOD! If you're looking for a tool to help get you moving, please consider the Blaze!

I have been looking for a watch that would sync with my Android, Samsung Note 5. I also wanted a watch that would track my steps during the day, my workout training and monitor my heart rate without needing to strap on one of those heart monitors around my chest. Well, I found it!! This is the watch I have been looking for, In fact, not only does it do all that I wanted a watch to do for me, but it actually is a fun watch to use to compete with friends and family that have the same watch. I have 3 friends and a brother who all have this same watch. We are all constantly competing with each other to see who has taken the most steps of the day and other competitions as well. We can actually monitor each other via email. So far, the highest step count for one day has been accomplished by my brother....25,615!! Wow, now I have to beat that!! See what I mean?? You have to buy this watch if you want the ultimate fitness time keeper that will also alert you of your texts and phone calls. Oh, and by the way, you can control your music on your phone from this watch as well. Need I say more?

Last me about a week with the heart rate on all the time. Fits comfortably and you can wear it to bed. If you can get this on sale then its worth it. I just wish it was waterproof. But it can take splashes and washing your hands. The charging is also faster than I thought. Even when the battery is flashing saying it needs to be charged it lasted two more days for me. So the power management is very good. It's also easy to charge and maintain. With android its annoying that you have to turn on location for the watch to sync but that's not a problem with Apple. The heart rate is also pretty great. Make sure that if you wear it all the time, during the day and while you sleep, that you wash the dead skin the builds up around the heart rate monitor. Also, make sure you don't wear it tight. The watch can be a little loose and still function like it should,

The FitBit Blaze is a great for tracking heart rate, sleep and steps. What has amazed me is how much walking I do naturally on any given day. It also makes me want to move more to reach my goal. Very easy to use and set up. Highly recommend.

I love my fitbit! This is definitely a great purchase! This thing keeps me motivated to work towards my daily fitness goals it helps you set! Charges fast and lasts days! I was contemplating on buying an Apple Watch before this but after knowing people with Apple Watches and for what I was going to use it for I know this was my best bet!

I was looking for a heart rate monitor that would serve many purposes. I already had a Fitbit and I wanted to keep one. Not only can I use this as a watch, I can see my steps, heart rate, etc.. I can see who is calling or texting me on my Blaze. I can play, pause, and skip music playing on my phone while working out. The battery lasts about 4-5 days and is easy to charge. You do have to pop the Fitbit out of the watch frame to charge it. It is easy once you get the hang of it. After charging, make sure you put the right side back in the frame first (two buttons) and then pop the left side in. As with my old Fitbit, I love how it automatically records my sleep. I don't like how much the other watch bands cost, otherwise I would accessorize. The band that comes with the Blaze is good enough though.

Gives many options for default screen design. Excellent tracking of steps, exercise, & floors traversed. Heart rate is accurate and easy to read on the dial. I like the traditional watch design with the ability to have digital or analog with a sweep second hand. There is also a more traditional watch type band that is easy to fasten and doesn't fall off.
Fast synchronization with phone with optional music control. The charging cord is much improved from the other fitness bands. The entire watch module pops out and drops into a secure charging cradle - no issues with plugging a cord into the underside of the band which eventually breaks.
I've had the flex, charge, charge HR, and Alta. The blaze beats the others in all categories. I highly recommend it

Upgraded from a charge. While this is somewhat larger, by adding the metal band when I go to work, it looks like a regular watch yet it continues to track my activity and alert me each hour to get up and move. The ease of popping the Blaze Face in and out of the band makes charging and band switching a breeze.

Having used a zip, a flex, and a force over the last several years, I was glad to see the latest device be more watch-like. The accuracy of steps for a Fitbit device appears to be very good. The face is a little bulky, but after the really narrow devices I had used in the past it just feels much bigger. Recharging off of the band is not as big an issue as I had thought, but the recharger itself is made of very cheap plastic that I'm afraid will break sooner rather than later. A magnetic attachment might be better. The heartbeat monitor is nice, bit to get accurate results the band needs to be well tightened. It would be nice to see more watch faces available - including one that showed time, date, and steps on one face. I would give 4.5 stars for a rating.

I've been going through different activity trackers for the last few years...I started with a Nike Fuelband, then got a FitBit Charge HR, then that took a swim in Mexico this winter and was replaced with a Garmin Vivosmart, and then I spent a lot of time debating the Garmin Vivoactive HR and the Fitbit Blaze.
Honestly, they were both pretty close. I wanted to get back to a band that would track my heart rate. I ended up going with the Fitbit because of the app, and availability.
I'm very pleased. The Fitbit app is top notch. The Blaze does a good job of tracking things. I like that it keeps good tabs on my bike rides, using GPS from my iPhone, and uploads them automatically to Strava. It seems to track my yoga practice pretty accurately, too, due to the heart rate capability. The Vivosmart basically thought I was napping for that hour.
The device also looks really good. I also picked up the stainless steel band to go along with it, so it's really versatile.
I would, however, say that the alarms are not as good as they were on the ChargeHR. I love that feature, waking up with a vibration on my wrist. But the Blaze doesn't seem to vibrate quite as hard, and it only cycles through 3 times then stops. So if you don't wake up pretty quickly, you're oversleeping. And I've overslept quite frequently since I got this. I never miss work, but I have missed several 6am yoga practices.
That's the big thing, which isn't mission critical in the grand scheme, so yes, I like the Blaze very much.

The blaze is a good enough smart watch for me because I want it mostly for fitness and I don’t plan on answer from my watch, I just want the notifications to see and decide if I bother to pull out my phone, id like more clock faces or the ability to make custom faces that’s why only 4 stars

The blaze was simple to connect to my iPhone and even easier to use. The battery life is about 3 days of regular notifications and full time heart rate and sleep monitoring. I have found it to be very accurate. I wish it had more watch faces or adjustments to the watch faces, but they do offer a decent variety. This is definitely not a smart watch, it is a fitness tracker with some notification options. The vibration is medium intensity. The screen can be seen easily in daylight. Switching bands is really easy, as most bands come with the bracket. Definitely worth cost for me. I have had it for about a month now and still like it.

Each brand of smart watches has its pros and cons. Fitbit is durable, has EXCELLENT (like World Class) battery life, and is very easy to use. Notifications come in clear and smooth. One downer is you can’t respond to a text on the watch however the fitness features are 2nd to none.

Upgraded from a Charge HR2 after it died, and I was a little reluctant to go with the Blaze because of its size, but it has so many features and was priced at about the same. Very pleasantly surprised at how light it is, and it is nice to have a bigger clock face.

Easy to use and wear daily. Nice watch accessory. Not a fan of charging it every 3 days but lasts longer than charging my smartphone daily. Alarms are convenient - waking and bedtime alarms. Notifications when receiving texts or phone calls is cool. I have an Android and didn't expect to receive notifications similar to Iphones.
Initially was impressed with smart fitbit worn by my office manager. However, I preferred the Blaze instead! Love it so much, I purchased a second one as birthday gift for my daughter-in-law. She is enjoying it as well!
