    Nice upgrade from my flex2

When my flex 2 started to act up, I started shopping around for its replacement. I looked at the Charge 3, it had all my requirements - activity, HR, and waterproof being the main ones. Then I heard about the Inspire HR. It has all the same features of the Charge 3 (that I cared about) at a better price point. I’m pleased with my purchase and expect I will have fun looking at the additional metrics it tracks.

This product does what exactly what it says it does. This tracks heart rate, sleep patterns, and other general health items. This fitbit is waterproof so you don't have to take it off to shower, and the battery life is great. Bluetooth resets were required a lot but updates have helped with this issue

I have a small wrist - and the size of the Fitbit is perfect. It doesn't look bulky. The sleep tracker seems to be accurate. I once experienced an earthquake and the fit bit tracked the exact moment I woke up from the shake! I love that it's water proof. It also charges really fast less than an hour. No problems with getting messages and notifications from my phone.

A nice idea but very glitchy

The watch was shipped from Best Buy as part of the UHC Motion program. The good: The heart rate, time keeping, and battery life. The bad: The step counter often freezes and takes a hard reset to get it to unfreeze. We have to do this once a day on average. In addition, the counters for various goals often do not trigger due to the missing steps.

Lightweight and lasts almost a week on one charge. Wish there were more band options that came with it. Paring with phone was iffy sometimes. Could have been my phone.

My first Fitbit, Inspire HR. I love it except for the battery. I was under the impression the battery would last about 5 days. But I have to charge it every day or two. Other than the battery, it's a great little device. It's just what I need in my weight loss and health endeavors.

This watch is really good! I love everything about it except for a few minor things. One thing is that when you scroll through the apps, it does sometimes glitch out. Also another thing is that I am missing a watch face. Otherwise I love this watch a lot, and I’d totally recommend it.

    Works ok, but...

So after breaking the strap, on my Fitbit Alta, I went in to get a new one but discovered it was discontinued. I figured this was close to it, so, why not? Well at first I was excited because it has more features and you couldn’t beat the price. The downside is it’s bulkier and it doesn’t rest comfortably on my wrist. Doesn’t quite wrap around it evenly as the Alta did. The edges of the “face” of the inspire pop out too much. Not aesthetically pleasing on the wrist . I bought different straps online to see if it would work, but alas the head is too bulky. If I could switch it for an Alta HR, I would.

    Heart Rate won’t work.

Bought the Inspire HR to track heart rate while working out. It freezes up during every work out. Will say 98 bpm for 5 minutes, then jump to 170 for 5 minutes and stay there. Letters and heart go grey and stop working. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the sleep mode works great. But I will be returning and getting an Apple Watch that will be accurate. Called Fitbit customer service 3 separate times and they had no idea how to fix it and never responded by email like they said. Useless customer service.

Beware! Known to shut off and refuse to start

Watch is Known to shut off and refuse to restart please read the full review with details! Ok so I've had 2 of this model watch. First was replaced by Amazon's warranty and the second I've had to contact customer support about. They both had the same problem. Problem is the watch will shut down and you CANT get it restarted. There are help posts ALL over the fitbit community website as well as other sites. All looking for help with this same problem. No one can find a fix and fitbit doesn't care. They know its a problem. If contacted they will not offer tips, help, suggestions or anything. They only care if it has a warranty left. If it doesn't they offer you a discount on another item. I see no reason to buy another product from them if they won't fully stand behind their products. If you buy one of these save this tip. If it won't restart, plug it into power and hold the button for up to 40sec. This WILL take multiple attempts over many days. Its taken me up to a month to get my second one running again. I hope if your reading this that it helps your decision. Please do your research and don't get suckered into buying a bad product

    Not great

Bought as an upgrade to the Charge 2 because I wanted something for swimming tracking, was hoping to have a nice alternative to the pricier Charge 3 as well as liking the slimmer design. After a couple days I was just annoyed and done. It constantly turns on and drains the battery, it won't stay synced for accurate tracking, the interface is just weird and not as user friendly in my opinion as the Charge2 I had. The physical design of the slimmer screen makes less sense when you realize that they have to make it THICKER to fit all the bits in and the bump this makes on the underside prevented it from moving. Which sounds like a good thing, but it basically suffocated the skin and caused a raw spot. Not worth the effort to keep fighting with it. Luckily I'm within the ridiculously short return period BestBuy allows and will be taking it back in the morning.

    Huge disappointment

I bought this and within 2 weeks it stopped syncing. So I manually synced for a few days and then that stopped working. I called customer support and spoke with 4 different people none of whom could fix the problem. Also the charger is magnetic and it falls off at the slightest movement. The older models had a charger that clipped on. It is a complete pain In the butt to use and I would not recommend this to anybody. So Fitbit as a solution offered to replace the device or give me 50% off a new device. I wanted a refund and that is not possible I was informed. This not the first time I have had this kind of issue with Fitbit but it will be the last. I have never had a Fitbit device that lasted past one year. Do not buy one you will regret it

I loved the size of this device as all the fitness tracker watches seem to be just getting bigger. Ugh... However, I returned it today after only a week (no work, babying it) and it was already full of scratches on the screen. Poor design in my opinion. Bummer.

Inaccurate readings, app wont sync, keeps breaking

    Posted .

I’m writing this while in the middle of discussions with FitBit customer service about my THIRD claim in 9 months. To start at the beginning: Almost immediately I noticed that the readings were inaccurate. My heart rate would read as 90-100 while my heart was practically beating out of my chest! Step counts were off. Some days I would wake up and it would tell me I already had 50+ steps registered. Some days I would be walking around my home cleaning and I would look down and the steps didn’t change at all. The sleep feature was absolutely useless in its inaccuracy. It would record me as asleep while I was watching a play or standing around chatting with friends, and that I was wide awake when I’d actually fallen asleep on the couch. Once it said that I woke up in the middle of the night and stayed awake for two hours when I had not. It almost never recorded my workouts automatically. One day I went to the pool and was just leisurely swimming and using the water slides and for some reason it recorded THAT as exercise but not the half hour I was doing laps the day before. I lift weights for 20 or more minutes with heart rates above 140 and... nothing. (After the lockdowns began, and my gym was closed, I started biking for as much as two hours every day. Didn’t record a single one.) I exchanged it thinking it was a problem with the device but the new one had the same issues. And then the problems got worse. Suddenly it wouldn’t sync to the app. The only way you could get it to sync was if you uninstalled and reinstalled the app and even then it didn’t always work and you might have to do it a few times before it would sync. (At this point I wanted to return the FitBit but customer service faffed around so long with my claim that this was no longer an option.) This NEVER got fixed. It has been like this for MONTHS. I check in about once a month to see if they’ve fixed the issue but nope. So I don’t even use the app anymore. Most of the functions of this device don’t work or are so inaccurate that they’re useless so I basically just use it as a watch, to track my steps, and to monitor my heart rate (which I take with a grain of salt because even that is not always accurate). I can’t even do that anymore. Yesterday it got stuck on the clock/daily calorie screen. It won’t react to touch and it won’t restart. I’ve tried everything their website recommends and then some. I’m about to be on my fourth device once the claim goes through. There are some good design features, like the band, which is easy to put on and remove with one hand. However the face is prone to scratching. I brushed my wrist gently once on the side of a hot tub and it scratched the face. A simple silicone edge would prevent this. The app, when it still worked, was alright, but the selection of workouts was poor so I usually ended up having to select the wrong one and just adjust. The food tracking portion was pretty useless; I couldn’t find any of the foods I eat, not even basic things like peas. I just went back to using the free app that I already had on my phone. Would I recommend? No. Once I get the money to, I will be replacing this device. I have no idea how it has such high reviews. I’ve had nothing but troubles with multiple devices.

I was using it just to track steps, not even rigorously or for the rest of its features. One day the screen stopped turning on except when i’d long press the power button, it would show a happy face. It would sync with my device but the display stopped working. I googled how to reset it and went through the steps and it didn’t work. I realized looking online that it was a common problem. This all happened so conveniently right after the 45-day return policy... on the 46th day! The store employees don’t even like talking about a return or any problem w a device so why bother asking outside of the return window.

I got this a month ago and I hate it! It never properly syncs with my phone. When I got it I did not know there is a compatibility list. Even though my phone was compatible I still had sync issues. I was using an android app which is garbage. I am disappointed that a company like Fitbit puts out suck a garbage software. I was also not entirely satisfied with the workout options. I go hiking a lot and it has no method to track it besides the normal operation.

Most frustrating electronic device I've ever owned

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've had absolutely nothing but problems. It wasn't registering my sleep, steps, or heart rate correctly. The only time it automatically detected a "workout" was when I was playing in the water and on the slides at a water park (but during my actual workouts? Nothing.) I returned it directly to FitBit and had it replaced, and I've had the replacement for an hour and I'm already having problems with it (it keeps telling me I need to update the firmware but it won't update no matter how many times I try). The food and exercise options are so limited on the app that I just went back to using the app I was using before I bought my FitBit. When I do use the app to track my exercises, I often have to log my workouts under the wrong type, because the correct type isn't an option. The design is such that it's really easy to get scratches. I was sitting in a hot tub and just brushed my wrist against the side of the wall - that's all it took to scratch the face. A thin rubber bead around the front of the face would help with that. The rubber wrist bands are comfortable, and are engineered to make it easy to take on and off. But being rubber they also collect dirt and debris fairly easy, and within a couple weeks the wristband looked worn and dirty (even though I washed it nearly every day after my workouts).
