    Just what I needed

There are many features that I like but one feature that's a great improvement over the Fitbit Charge that I can easily read the time. In addition, I can now have my iPhone on silent and the watch vibrates to tell me that I have a message or call and it tells me from who. And, I can easily read message received from my IPhone. Also, I like the idea of the watch giving me a nudge to get up and move if I have been inactive too long. If you set things up properly (which is easy to do) you get a weekly summary of activity. All the things I need to encourage me to get out there and try to do more. Last but not least, I got this watch/activity tracker because it is waterproof and I can take it into the pool when I do laps. I only rated it 4 stars because I'm still working on understanding some aspects of the FitBit Versa. Specifically, you are able to transfer songs from your phone to the watch/tracker so you don't need to have your phone present to listen to music. The transfer of music was fairly simply (easy to follow online instructions). While connecting the Bluetooth earbuds to the watch was fairly easy (i.e., watched youtube instructions), the fact that I use the same earbuds for my iPhone causes a little bit of confusion for me that I'm still working out. However, once I understand how this work, I'm confident there will be no problems in the future. Enjoy!!

    Absolutely LOVE the Versa

I got the Limited Edition Versa for Christmas and I'm in love with it. The Versa replaced my Fitbit Alta, and has so many more features. My favorite color is purple and the band is great and is comfortable fitting. It comes with a black band as well so I can trade it out, but I don't think I'll get tired of the lavender band. :) I have slim wrists and was nervous about the Versa looking bulky on my wrist, but it doesn't - it's very sleek. The biggest feature that I know of between this Limited Edition and the regular Versa (besides the lavender band) is that the Limited Edition Versa allows you to pay from your Versa at stores. The sleep feature is great, it tells me how long I stayed in Light Sleep, REM sleep, as well as Deep Sleep. I can honestly say that I now know why I'm tired during the day. :)

Love the look and feel of this watch. Only downside is how to reattach the bands. I love the color of the metal and purple band. It is starting to fray a bit, but otherwise has been great!

FitBit remains the go-to for Fitness Trackers

Fitbit is a very closed ecosystem when it comes to their application benefits (step tracking, challenges, workout ). So, a solid fitness tracker with features to rival other smartwatches is necessary. The Versa is directly comparable to the Ionic in features and performance, but that's where the comparison stops. The new form factor streamlines the vision of a smart fitness tracker for all. The size and weight make the watch feel like you aren't even wearing it, making this an excellent watch to wear throughout the battery duration. Which, is as impressive as the Ionic - ~5 days light use. Very impressed with the watch, and can't recommend it enough. Only drawbacks that I have for the watch; SE model for NFC payments Another "new" proprietary charger

I like the large face of the Versa, slightly smaller than the Apple Watch it replaced. Seeing the info makes me more aware of my health, which was the point of the purchase. You can personalize the watch face, some of which require a fee. One of these locked the watch function requiring a reset of my watch to change it - the reason for not giving this five stars. While it might have been an external app issue, I would have preferred to change the watch face from the Fitbit app without restarting my watch. Other than this glitch, it performs as well as other Fitbits I have owned in a nicer package. I haven’t run the battery fully down, but it has about 50% after three days leading me to believe it will go about five days on a charge as I use it. The watch also alerts me to incoming calls and messages from my cell phone, which is a nice bonus included in many fitness watches. These are the features I’ve used and I’m sure it does more, but I really didn’t need much else. I would recommend this watch to those wanting a step counter with a larger customizable face and don’t desire all the extra features of other Smart watches - most of which cost more than the Versa.

Absolutely love this fitness tracker/smart watch! It feels and looks great on my smaller wrist, not too big or bulky. With the new bands that have come available since its release, you can really dress it up for any setting. So many useful apps that I never knew I needed until now. It's a great motivator for staying active even on those days when you have to sit inside all day. It's so fun to challenge friends and see who can get the most steps! I love the color of this watch, as well as the bonus band it came with. Battery life is great, I charge once or twice a week for a short amount of time. I would recommend the Fitbit Versa to anyone looking for an Apple watch alternative!

I’ve been wearing an Apple Watch for many years as I’ve lived the convenience of the receiving notifications and being able to take calls when away from my phone. However I’ve always been disappointed that there wasn’t an app comparable to the Fitbit app to track steps, exercise, etc. This versa Watch receives all iPhone notifications, allows you to receive calls, and syncs to the fit bit app. The only drawbacks I’ve found is that you can’t respond to texts in writing, and images are not displayed on notifications. So it is comparable to the Apple Watch, but the price is significantly lower.

We bought this because an Apple Watch is out of the question so first we can say this was a great price point for us and is doing what we were looking for. The reason I wanted it was We used it on a recent 10 day hiking trip and it was great knowing how far we were going at any given time. Also I have heart problems and is great having the heart rate monitor and sleep information. It does what it said it would do and the battery lasts as expected.

I really like this watch so far. I use it everyday and night. I charge it in my car while I drive and am sitting still. The battery does last 4 days. I like that the screen is large enough for me to read easily. I'm a teacher so find the timer app really helpful. I also like that while my phone is on silent I can see my alerts on my wrist when they quietly vibrate. I love that it tracks all my steps around the school and up and down the stairs. I also enjoy joining challenges with my coworkers. I find this really keeps me moving. I'm really glad I bought this watch and would recommend for sure.

I have actually purchased 4 Fitbits. The Ionic and Versa. My issuse isn't so much the watch, it is actually great. But the replacement/repair or lack there of from Fitbit. My screen cracked on one of my Versas and Fitbit only offered a 15% discount on a new one. Nothing that the screen can be fixed. The watch is Great, but do not get a crack in it. However this will be my last Fitbit purchase due to the inability to have it repaired.

While I personally liked the build of the blaze, it was time to upgrade (a 3 story fall will do that) Now with the Versa on wrist for a few days, it's interesting on how it feels like it's not there. It's lighter and smaller than the blaze and it's noticeable. Steps/sleep seem more consistent than the blaze. I have not tried fitbit pay yet (my bank card is not supported) or music (my bt headphones are 2500 miles away) but besides that, I do t regret the purchase.

I only use the basic functions right now in keeping track of steps and sleep. Tracking food is a bit cumbersome. I have not added music as that requires the purchase of a Bluetooth device and I haven’t found one in my price range that I like. I have not used the “pay” option either- i am too skeptical. It did identify my Lansing mowing as exercise which was great. However I find that it thinks my drive to and from work adds steps - a lot - about 400 each way.

I purchased this June 2018, as a replacement for a Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro. I love the look and design of the Versa, and it's very comfortable to wear. I like the traditional watch style band, it's never come loose once while wearing it. And it's fairly easy to swap bands out. My Versa responds well with the turn of my wrist (to turn on the screen), and is pretty good at automatically adjusting brightness. As far as software and apps go, this thing does pretty much everything I was hoping it would do: sleep tracking, heart rate, alarm, phone notifications (with ability to reply via a few presets), workout tracking, etc. One thing I have noticed coming from the Gear fit 2 Pro, is that the Gear could do a bit more on the device itself (as far as changing settings). For example, I could change and customize the watch face on the Gear device, whereas to do that on the Versa, I need to open the app on my phone. There's a decent amount of settings on the Versa that can only be changed on your phone with the app. I guess the trade off is probably battery life: my Gear would get 2 days, whereas the Versa gets 4 days on a charge. There's some fun social features with Fitbit, if you also have friends who have a fitbit device as well. If it's just yourself, then it doesn't add much. I have had some issues with the Versa. After 10 months of ownership, I'm on my 3rd Versa. I've had to have two units replaced on warranty claims. The problems I experienced with each faulty unit are not uncommon if you visit the Fitbit support forums. The first faulty unit suddenly (fine one day, bad the next) experienced massive battery drain - from 4 days to less than one, to eventual complete failure. The second faulty unit suddenly became laggy/slow/glitchy - this issue progressed over the course of 36 hours till eventually the device became completely unresponsive. Fitbit support was great in sending replacement units, though I'm concerned at the overall stability and quality of this device, especially as I get close to the end of my 1 year manufactures warranty. I did check the "recommend to a friend" box, BUT I only do so with the added recommendation that the person buys the extended Geeksquad protection plan. Without the failures, I would've given this 5 stars.

Was looking for a watch that wasn't as bulky as some of the other smart watches out there for men. I didn't need the GPS functionality but really wanted the other fitness tracking/smart features like steps, heart rate, alerts, messages, etc. This watch had everything that I needed and the large band fit my wrist well without feeling overly large. It took me a few tries to get it paired correctly with my S9, however since I did connectivity has been rock solid. Really like the ability to customize which apps will send alerts to the watch. I have had other FitBit products like the Aria scale in the past and other family members and friends have them as well. Like the ecosystem and the app is really easy, we do leverage the challenges quite a bit. I did by the special edition primarily for the ability to do NFC payments. I have tested it and it works great. I like the fact that it does require a PIN code for the wallet to work, but you only need to enter it once until you take the watch off of your wrist. The only reason that I give this 4 stars at all is because of the limited banks that FitBit wallet has so far. I'm sure this will grow over time and luckily one of my banks was on the list.

Nice Upgrade to the Fitbit Blaze

The Versa is a nice uprgrade to the Blaze. I traded in the Blaze because after just about two years, the battery only held for like a couple of days. The Versa does all that the Blaze does but adds some nice amenities: the wallet and ability to pay from your wrist, holds music on its own without having to have your phone, can change the screen background with your own pics to really personalize it, can add additional apps like Starbucks, as well as a bunch of other things. I've had it now for about a month. The charge lasts about 4-5 days, depending on how much I'm messing around with it. This particular one (the one with the charcoal fancy band) is nice and looks good casual or dressy. My only complaint (minus the one star) is that I have to constantly turn the notifications on all throughout the day. I'm thinking that isn't common for most, but it certainly wasn't a common thing with the Blaze. I don't know if certain things automatically turn it off like charging your phone or plugging it into a vehicle or whatever, but I have to constantly turn the notifications back on to see them appear on the screen. That's annoying but not a dealbreaker. All in all, it was a good buy.

The Versa is an amazing marriage between a smart watch and a fitness monitor. The watch comes with 2 choices of bands which are washable. The battery life is amazing and you can pay with your watch, get text notifications order from Starbucks as well as listen to music while walking or working out. For less than half the price of most smart watches it is well worth it.

    Great for tracking fitness

I had two main concerns when buying a smartwatch. 1) Constantly track heart rate (due to a heart condition I have) and 2) Have a long battery life (because I hate having to take the watch off to charge it everyday). Although there are smart watches out there that do the smartwatch portion better (Applewatch, Samsung Gear, etc), they almost all need to be charged after a day or so. Other fitness trackers like the Alta or Charge 2 don't have enough smart watch capabilites. The Versa seemed like the best combo. Fitbit is great for tracking walking, diet, heart rate, sleep cycles. Does a decent job with notifications and mobile payments. Does a poor job with additional apps and music control. Before I had the Versa, I had a Pebble Time. The Pebble Time worked out of the box for controlling music while I'm exercising. The Versa works maybe 30% of the time. On a daily basis I check my sleep, look at my heartrate throughout the day, and use the NFC for mobile payments multiple times a week. For what I use it for, it works well. If Fitbit can iron out the music control issues, I'd give it 5*.

This is my third Fitbit device, Charge, Charge 2, and now the Versa. I've had it for a month and I love it. You can't beat it for the price if you want a watch that you'll primarily use to track steps, workouts and view occasional other info. I get 4 days of battery life with about 10% left over and I usually track 2 workouts in that time span. If you want a fully featured smartwatch, this isn't it, but for what it offers there's nothing else that compares.

Typical Fitbit product. Love the sleep stages via heart rate feature. This is a feature the much more expensive Apple watch doesn't have. Also only need to charge it every 4-5 days vs less than one day for Apple watch charge. Not as many features as Apple watch, but has all I need for the price.
