This is my fifth smartwatch and I would rank it somewhere in the middle. Unfortunately, the battery is subpar and it is too glitchy. Perhaps these will improve with software updates.

I have always been a fan of Fossil watches. they make solid products. I was happy when they started making smartwatches and they did not disappoint. Love it.

Better than most Android watches around this price range but would live a better more universal way to charge.

Good Hardware And Design, Terrible Platform

First off do not blame Fossil in any way, shape or form. The hardware is great, responsive and reliable and the aesthetics are very nice too. Both reminded me of why I was a loyal Fossil wristwatch buyer back when wristwatches were a thing. But the problem here: the software. Wear OS is absolutely horrible. I say this as a longtime user of the platform that has had several Android Wear/Wear OS watches. The original release of Android Wear was actually OK. But Android Wear has gotten progressively worse over time to the point that a mere fitness tracking appliance that mirrors notifications is a better deal. My next purchase will be a Samsung watch. Google apps not working on it is a downer, but then again they don't work consistently or well on Wear OS devices anymore either. But at least the Samsung watches actually function as fitness tracking devices, which is one more thing than anything on the Wear OS platform functions as. Were Samsung to license their OS to Fossil and allow them to push a platform that actually works to this device that would be ideal.

It gets the job done. I used to own an Apple Watch, and that was quick and responsive. The Fossil Sport is a little slow, but it is responsive. It allows me to change tracks on my Spotify, read my notifications, and check on my texts. But sadly, it barely lasts a day. I'll wear it at 6am and by 8pm, it'll be at 10%. Not perfect, but for the price I got it for, definitely tolerable.

Let's be clear, a lot of the fault with Wear devices is Wear OS itself. Every time you reboot this watch you have to wait a good couple minutes before you can unlock it and do anything, for all the stuff loading in the background. Initial setup? Be prepared to do a lot of waiting while updates install. If the watch is running one task, don't expect to multitask. There's also some build quality concerns with Fossil watches in general; they use a pair of glued-on, recessed metallic rings on the back as charging contacts and reportedly the glue has a habit of coming loose and the rings peeling away. I haven't experienced this, and the only special care I've taken is to gently wipe the rings off with a t-shirt before putting the watch on the charger. But at $100 (and sometimes $60!), it does make for a nice, cheap smartwatch, and the overall look and feel is pretty darn good. So if you're just looking to get into the smartwatch experience without dropping a whole lot of money, this *might* be your ticket.

I got this to replace an aging Gear S 2. I like the crown and raised buttons except that they are often triggered by bending my wrist back towards the watch. The watch can be laggy at times. Doesn't seem as responsive as the Gear S 2 was.

Okay, Fossil certainly knows how to make a watch, but this model is outdated and that's why you're seeing it heavily discounted. With that in mind you can expect to get a watch that is a bit behind on the technology curve. The single biggest issue with this watch is the battery life, even brand new and fully charge will produce less than a day of use.

Good purchase however, the battery dies quickly, it keeps disconnecting from my phone, and it has a lot of unnecessary apps that are taking up both storage and battery. To be fair, because of the quarantine we haven't being able to enter the store to see if they could fix it.

I've had all kinds of smart watches over the years. It started with an original Pebble watch, then I had a few Galaxy watches and even a fitbit. This Fossil watch is by far the best of all of them. It's simple, gets the job done, and doesn't break the bank. Battery life is great, I can get 2 days on a charge with my usage. The charge is a simple magnetic circle, no pins or clips to fumble with. Android Wear isn't perfect, but it's a solid OS that will make sense for most people.

Decent smartwatch/fitness tracker. Lots of options and easy to use. Only con is battery life. Barely lasts a full day on a charge. Sometimes shorter if using as fitness tracker. Not good for tracking sleep unless you charge sometime throughout the day. Does charge fast though, so not big deal if you pop on charger while eating a meal or watching TV for a little bit

I purchased this watch with intentions to be able to use wireless payment. The things I do like about it is the feature to find my phone, even though you have to be a few feet away. The downfalls for me was that there was not a lot of apps available for the watch, the strap broke easily and this watch did not have a camera. But it did help with basic things with setting alarms and calculator. It was not a huge hit but for the budget, it worked well.

This watch is extremely light, sporty and elegant. Notifications arrive instantly and the different watch faces are excellent. Navigation throuout the watch is intuitive and responsive, only downside I have noticed is battery life, maybe 1 day of normal use before having to charge again. Nevertheless, this watch is amazing and I highly recommend it.
