It took me a while to find a converter freezer/refrigerator, and I am very happy with the wait. The size is perfect, a big refrigerator without the top freezer, we placed in the laundry room next to our upright freezer, and we can fit big party trays, and enough bottles and cans, that it is helping as a pantry too. A great help during the holidays

Service is painful. Avoid buyin open box buys from Best buy.

The freezer on my current fridge is so small and barely holds anything, making it difficult to buy in bulk or for keeping large frozen foods. This item is provides a lot of room for storing food that does not fit in my fridge. The draws and shelving features provided make it easy to organize. Low energy cost/year and runs quiet. So far no complaints.

We purchased this upright unit back in 2009. After researching many reviews off of other sites, I decided to go with this uncommon upright unit. Several reviews off of other sites claim that the refrigerator operation fails after several months. I purchased a thermometer to keep inside to be sure and we have not noticed any issues with using the refrigerator feature at all. We have zero complaints, we have not noticed any issues with it warming up at all. We like that we can fit in large items such as cake trays or party pizza trays. We also can fit gallon jugs of milk in the bottom door tray. The height is only approximately 5'5", so my wife likes it that she can store bake-ware and smaller, seldom used appliances on top of it with ease. We have not used this as an upright freezer, so I cannot comment on those capabilities although I do see that I can convert it simply by pressing a button. The door can be changed to open to the right or to the left. We like this model a lot better than our previous side by side unit, which failed shortly after 2.5 years of purchasing. There are no capabilities for an in door ice maker or water dispenser because it can be used as an entire freezer as well. It is not too noisy and when the motor does kick on, it does not bother us at all. This unit has so far survived the constant abuse of 3 toddlers, so it is fairly rugged and durable!

I own a chest freezer and an upright and a side-by-side. So, I did not need any freezer space. If I didn't care about the ice through the door, I would by another one of these for my kitchen. I have this one in ny garage and it is used for beverages and over spill from my kitchen refridgerator. I love it.

We used a small about 3-4 cubic feet, it worked, but we still needed more fridge space. We put it in place (our basement) and we were really pleased with the change with our regular fridge. I like to buy bulk, now I have a really decent place to refrigerate larger items.

Very satisfied thus far with what appears to be an excellent value buy. Does not appear to be a cheap, poor quality unit..........still, only time will tell. Hope it performs as well as my last freezer did for 20 years. Most noticeable upon delivery was what appears a strong seal on the door which will be important for me as I use it for extra freezer space and keep unit in the garage---which can get pretty hot in Texas summers. I must add the good communication of Best Buy in delivery notification and on-time delivery combined with quick and friendly delivery personnel.

Received our new freezer today and freezes great. But when we looked at the Best Buy site, this model said it has a soft freeze area. We have not been able to find this in the freezer or the manual we got this morning. Also this model had additional letter on the model number. Not sure why, can't find anything on computer as to why. Would love to know why this is not as stated on Best Buys website. Will be calling tomorrow to find out why. Not a real happy customer right now.
