Frigidaire - 16.7 Cu. Ft. Frost-Free Convertible Refrigerator/Freezer - White

I was leery since all my research talked about how noisy this item was. Mine looks great, runs great and is not loud at all. I replaced a chest freezer with this purchase and now have everything easily accessible. Love the "refrigerator" look of the inside versus the traditional freezer look with wire rack shelving. Love how it can be used as a fridge or freezer.

My built-in refrigerator broke for the 3rd time so I decided to get an extra one in case it happened again. I was happy to find this which can convert to a freezer if needed. I have only used it for a month as a refrigerator so I cannot comment on it as a freezer. As a fridge, it is roomy, bright, and easy to find food. It doesn't have any cold or warm spots and I have had not problem with areas freezing. The door holds a lot and it has a place to store butter. I love it so far.

I have it in my garage for water/beer and other house refrigerator overflow. In the first couple of weeks the temperature has been in the 90s, the drinks have been nice and cold. I am very pleased. I also love the glass shelves. Other models had wire shelves which make it harder for bottles and cans to stand upright.

Highly recommend. I purchased two units. One I use as a Fridge, and the other as a Freezer. Both units work exactly as advertised. The unit is simple. There is a R/F button for master control, and a cold intensity scale. That's it. Set it and forget it. Remove the plastic door shelves and you can load it up with the largest of items. I keep my units in a Phoenix garage that can reach temps of 120 for weeks. No problems with temperature inside the units. Temps on the outsides of the units can get quite warm (read other reviews) so proper air space around the units is a must. They run a bit loud, but my placement has made that issue very minor. Overall it's a great machine that does exactly what it is advertised to do.

I've had my Frigidaire convertible refrigerator/freezer for over a year now and it has worked wonderfully for me. I've used it as a refrigerator and bought a separate smaller freezer. It's very roomy and what I love the most about it is the fact that I can see all the different foods in it without having to stoop low (I'm a tall man). The clear shelves and great lighting give me full view of everything. And it's worked like a charm all this time.

We were looking for a refrigerator only and did not need a freezer included. This fit the bill. The refrigeration only selection seems to work well. The temp stays within the recommended zone for safe storage and it has not added a significant increase to our electric bill. Since the only thing usually available for a refrigeration unit only seemed to be commercial and expensive this was exactly what we needed. We also ordered online sight unseen so it was nice when it arrived when we were told it would and it worked beautifully when we plugged it in.

I love this new freezer! I haven't tried using the refrigerator part yet. Although it is louder than my old freezer as most reviews say, but not enough for me to return it. I love the shelving configurations. The bins on the door and drawers underneath definitely make it easier to find things. Love it and would get another just to have units match! I also switched the door handle to the other side. It wasn't hard, but was a two person job for part of it. I had my 12 yr old hold it still to get it lined up. Overall, great buy.

I give this convertible fridge/freezer 4 stars because it is a little above average when it comes to versatility. There is a switch in the back that will allow use as a second fridge for you home or freezer. I purchased this to be a freezer only but other influences wanted a refrigerator in the garage also "just in case more space is needed". Since no one makes a over/under fridge/freezer where the larger portion is a freezer and the smaller portion is a fridge, this will have to do. The only problem I found with this unit is the door seal allows moisture in, in the upper corner opposite the door hinges. I'm not sure if there is an issue or if it is just the balmy South Florida weather. Since it has only been operated in the drier winter months, I might have to call a technician out to look at it in the more tropical summer months. This is more of a pet-peeve but since this is/would be used as a freezer more than a refrigerator, I would have preferred that the shelving be wire similar to a typical freezer instead of glass. Overall, this is a freezer for me and it freezes just fine.
