This food processor is so quiet, it does work and I’m satisfied with it.

We had a old ½ horsepower disposer that we were replacing. It was original to our house meaning it was over 15 years old. It was time to go! I did a little research online to see if this was a project I could tackle, and it seemed easy enough. This is my first house and I am slowly learning how to do lots of small repairs around the house. Even if you’re a little bit handy, I think you will have no problem installing this at all! I got pretty lucky that this new disposer was able to mount right to my existing mount that I had for my old disposer. So, I could have very easily just popped the old one off and popped this new one on and have been done with it in a matter of minutes! But, due to the age of my old disposer I decided to do a completely new install with this one. Even doing that, it was still VERY easy to install. If you haven’t done this before, I suggest looking on YouTube. There are tons of videos that will help you see exactly what you need to do to replace your disposer. I won’t get into all the details of that, but everything you need is included in the box. Just follow the instructions and you will be up and running in no time! It literally took me less than 20 minutes to remove my old one and have this one up and running. The operation of it is amazing. You wouldn’t think ¼ of a horsepower upgrade from my old one would make that much of a difference, but it really does! Usually if I have some lemon or orange peels in there, I have to run the disposer for 5-8 seconds to get everything chopped up well. With this one, its a matter of a second or 2 and its gone! This one is also significantly quieter than our old one as well. Our puppy loves this feature because it usually scares the crap out of him whenever we turned our old one on because it was so loud. He gives it 4 paws up! One other amazing thing to mention with this disposer is the warranty. 10 years parts and labor…..you heard me…..10 years!! That’s unheard of for a warranty on just about anything these days. Usually, it’s a year and you’re lucky if you get 2 or 3. So they definitely know they have built a quality product that is going to last you a long time. Not that a garbage disposal is a huge investment, but you know you won’t have to worry about it for a long time. Overall, I highly recommend this. Installation is a snap and its quiet and works perfectly. What more could you ask for!

This product replaces my 29-year-old disposer which has performed flawlessly. After all these years of service, I decided to change my unit out as I was already upgrading my kitchen cabinets and counter tops. There was no better time for this project. The Frigidaire disposer unit was an easy install. I classify myself as a DIY (do it yourself) type person and I had no problems with the swap out of my old unit. Installation took me approximately 25 minutes. Most of the time during this project came down to the removal of my old unit. This Frigidaire disposer unit has a regular electric plug. I had to cut the plug off and splice the ends of the wires into my existing electrical hookup because underneath my sink I did not have a dedicated wall socket. Something to keep in mind during your installation. A really nice feature of this disposer are the included magnets which install around the neck of the product. The magnets are intended to catch metal utensils that might accidentally fall into your drain. I'm not sure if this system is 100% foolproof, but it's nice to know the unit has this featured accessory and safeguard. What is not included with this disposer unit are the drain line hoses which flow out of your dishwasher. This means that if you have an existing dishwasher, you will have to utilize the old hoses from your dishwasher because they are not included with this product. Otherwise, you will have to go out and purchase new hoses. So far, I am really satisfied with this product. The unit works great, and when in operation is pretty quiet. It operates well under the stress of chopping and grinding table scraps. It had no problem powering through the table scraps we disposed of. It is equipped with sound insulation and has a long warranty. Nice product and I recommend it.

The garbage disposal. A purchase not made often, and many don't know where to start. Start first with what is currently installed, if nothing, look to the .5HP. Think if you want to add more power or stay the same based on current performance. I landed on the 3/4HP model to replace my 1/3HP builder installed disposal, and it was the RIGHT choice! It was easy to install and connected directly to my current plumbing without modification. Maybe I got lucky and you will too! All I want to say is when you do buy one of these things, be sure you get one that is going to be quiet, powerful, and long-lasting. This unit has a 10yr warranty which makes me feel secure knowing this should last. For setup, you will need to think about your skill level. This is an easy install for the average DIYer but may scare some due to water and electricity but trust me, you can do this with a video and safety precautions! If not, hire a plumber and they will take care of your worries for a few bucks. To start, everything needed is provided for you in the box with the exception of PLUMBER'S PUTTY! This is needed to seal the sink flange and if you don't, you will leak. Buy some plumber's putty before you get started and you will be all set. Grab a few tools like a long screwdriver and maybe a hammer to loosen the current sink flange and mount. Remove your old disposal, install the new one, pop the dishwasher port open (if applicable), make drain connections, connect the P-Trap, and test for power at the switch. Add your magnetic ring, cap the drain, and fill it with water to test for leaks. No leaks - you are finished! I recommend leaving water in the sink overnight to be sure it doesn't leak but you can do as you like. Final Thoughts Quieter than my last one and more powerful. Quick install and everything lined up with my previous setup. Magnetic protection for silverware. In short, this is an excellent purchase for those who are in the market for a disposal. It is quiet, powerful, and is as advertised. I would recommend it to anyone! Now, I MUST ALWAYS find something to complain about so here it is. For stainless steel sink owners, my only gripe is the metal sink flange is more of an aluminum/tin finish rather than stainless steel. It would be nice to have options for the ring to make things match closer to stainless but, hey, this thing is almost perfect and I needed to find something! Petty Roosevelt! I would also like to see a different rubber splash guard that allows the water to rush in rather than a trickle in through 7 small holes and a few slits. The stopper also doesn't match the metal of the flange but who cares, it is temporary and you will probably not even see the stopper much.

Review for Frigidaire 3/4HP Corded Disposer - Gray I recently replaced our old, and increasingly noisy garbage disposal with this new Frigidaire model. What a difference! The install was pretty easy if you have moderate plumbing skills. In my case, I’m probably not at the moderate level, but my plumbing is all PVC, not copper, as is increasingly popular, so I consider it less like plumbing and more like “arts and crafts.” The best part is, if you’re replacing an existing disposal with a three-point mount, you don’t have to replace the drain hardware. If you don’t have a three-point mount or any disposal at all, you will need some plumber’s putty, but all of the rest of the drain hardware is included. Be sure to check your existing drain pipes for compatibility to avoid multiple trips to the hardware store while suspending the use of your sink. This unit comes with a 90º elbow which may or may not be all you need to finish the install. Finally, if you are connecting your dishwater drain to the disposal, be sure to knock out the insert inside of the dishwasher drain pipe. If all of this sounds like too much, you may want to have the unit installed by a plumber. The disposal itself is much more compact than the model it replaced and yet is as powerful and quieter. When you first start it, the unit makes a moderately loud “clunk” sound as the grinders engage. This is normal, but a little startling the first few times. Perhaps the most innovative feature is the “Silver Guard” — a ring of powerful magnets that mount under the sink around the collar of the unit and catch utensils, bottle caps, or other magnetic items so that they don’t fall into the disposal.

I have used waste disposals for many years. I recommend this particular one because it works quietly. I think it is good value at Bestbuy.

It’s a new product so of course it’s fine. Longevity of a product is key. Only time will tell.
