It works great & keeps my living room nice & cool even when it’s 95 outside! And the remote app control is great — You can change its settings whenever you want, wherever you are, so it’s nice & chilly when u get home!

The unit is designed to easily disconnect the window vent hose -as depending on the humidity, the internal water collector bins (top and bottom) need to be emptied fairly often. The fan is a bit loud, but the unit cools a 12x17 room with vaulted ceiling fairly quickly.

I have purchased both an Insignia and GE portable ac unit, and though this Frigidaire is a tad more expensive (it's the bigger 550 sq. ft. unit; on sale for $419.99), it offers so much more. First, all three units blow really cold air! They are also good options. Just be conscious of rated area coverage. For the more nit picky things that I've utilized/noticed so far: 1. I think the build quality is superior (and much better looking) than the other two. The plastic feels more premium due to feeling less hollow. 2. This unit offers full control with your smartphone (wifi required I believe), which I find useful since I don't have to look for the remote (included) or walk to the unit itself to change the setting. Not offered by the other units. 3. I really like the filter icon that lights up when it needs cleaning/changing. For my other two units, I have to remember to clean them out, this one does, or should, do it for me. 4. Typically, and something not many reviewers discuss, is when the ac compressor shuts off, the units tend to cause a loud bang and vibration (can be an issue if you live above someone else). This is huge for me because I live in an apartment with thin walls, and my other units sometimes wake me up. This Frigidaire is super quiet on both the shut on and off!! Sometimes you won't even notice when it engages on/off. 5. Long window vent hose!! On my other units, the vent hose barely reaches my window. There is literally tension on the hose. The hose that comes with this Frigidaire has about an extra foot or so even when installed, which you can compress so it doesn't drag. The window mounts are very nice and easy to assemble compared to the other units.

Total ease of assembly and setup with the only thing I had to provide being a screwdriver and a little extra insulation tape by my own choice. Quickly and adequately cools the living room and kitchen, about 500 sq ft, for which I purchased it. I have had the portable AC for only about two monyhs honestly, but I have absolutely no complaints to this point.

game changer for our unconditioned house. Very happy to have this going in our bedroom in the summer time! Easy temporary set up, easy to control, and keeps us very cool!

Incredible product. Cooled my apartment living room, very easy to install. I had a balcony sliding door and it installed perfectly. There was some dripping after 1.5 weeks of constant use, but the dripping would always be minimal (no tray required and had no impact on our floors). Would recommend if you need a portable ac!
