There is paint on the threads needed to put the upper and lower brackets together. While tightening the nuts the welded on screw broke the weld at two locations and broke the screw completely at the other two locations. Fridgedaire needs to mask the threads during the painting process to stop this issue from occurring. There is a black plastic trim piece around the hood that came off easily. It leaves a gap on the left side of the hood of about 4mm. I am living with it because it is difficult to see. It has much more fan power than I expected. At the highest setting it could clear out a kitchen at McDonalds! Looks great once assembled. It is difficult beyond the previously mentioned issues. Get help. It's very heavy. Overall a good purchase.

I bought this range hood specifically because of its sleek design. It is absolutely beautiful in my newly remodeled kitchen. I especially love that I could install it and not have to vent it through the roof of the house (used the convertible feature that recycles the air).

Never installed one before, was a little intimidated at first. Installation instructions were very clear and user friendly. Only concern was wishing it could be raised a little higher for an 8 ft. ceiling.

We found the rangehood online and are pleased with how it works and blends with our kitchen. The only issue is that we used the installer recommended by the Best Buy sales clerk. Before the contractor left our house, he asked us if we were OK with his work. He cut a hole in our ceiling (it's about 1/4" cut all around the rangehood) and the hood went up into the attic area about 3/4". I've never had a rangehood installed for me before and asked about repairing the ceiling. He said he doesn't fix the ceilings, he just installs rangehoods. I paid him and he left. My friends told me I should never had paid him until the hole was fixed. Well, I am in the process of hiring and paying someone to fix our ceiling. I just wanted to make Best Buy aware that some of their contract installers may not meet Best Buy, and especially their customers, expectations. Installers should meet or exceed Best Buy standards and know how to complete a job 100%. Customers rarely do these types of tasks so they put their confidence behind a name like Best Buy. A contracted installer can ruin the name of a good company. I would have to tell my friends to be very cautious when using a contractor recommended by a company rather than one recommended by a friend, because that contractor has no thought towards the company, only themselves. Please take my comments into consideration when I respond "Yes" to recommending this to a friend.

Fast delivery service called ahead to make an appointment , delivered when they said they would. Cant wait to see it out of the box and in place after the remodel is done. Should match kitchen pretty well
