These are typical air conditioner sounds; "gurgling or hissing" noises may be heard during normal operation due to refrigerant passing through the evaporator. The fan at the front of the unit may provide the sound of rushing air. During normal operation, water droplets hitting the condenser may produce "pinging or swishing" sounds. Furthermore, high-pitched chatter may occur with today's high-efficiency compressors throughout the cooling cycle. Definitely not quiet but not the loudest window AC I've got. Nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible.

I like it a lot…not sure i I understand the eco mode am a little surprised that it doesn’t shut completely off, but I’m happy with it.
